We’ve had an experience nearly identical to another customer’s negative review regarding York Fabrica and Dekton.

York Fabrica’s service has been plagued by long delays, product quality issues, basic measurement errors, mismatched vein patterns that did not align with the provided drawings, residue left on the countertops, and hairline cracks and chips along the edges.

The most frustrating aspect is their failure to address the hairline cracks. Additionally, they have become unresponsive, which leaves us to assume they are willing to forgo our final payment rather than resolve the issues.

We are more than willing to pay in full but expect the product and quality that were initially promised. Unfortunately, both the project manager, Ricardo, and his supervisor appear unwilling to address these quality and workmanship concerns.

Overall, a very disappointing experience.

We selected York Fabrica over in august 2021 for Dekton countertops,
From start to end, it has been a serie of mistakes, delays, and bad faith. Case still not closed after 18 months.
- 2 months lead time instead of the two weeks agreed from signature for starting production ;
- Final lay-out not the approved one , as York Fabrica's workshop managed to crack two slabs in a row, and eventually placed the veins in reverse direction for avoiding ordering a 3rd slab. The installation were already delayed by several weeks, resulting in us having to postpone our move-in and enjoying "indoor camping" as they put delay over delay.

Installation day :
- one of the pieces was not cut according to the measurement taken, installator damaged a brand new straight drywall, trying to force fit the counter whereas the shape was wrong ;
- one end was all dented
- cooktop opening was not cut-out, only marked-up ;
Intention was to cut on site, until I asked whose responsibility it is in case of wrond doing ? - which led them to prefer to take it back to the workshop. One more week.

- 5 weeks after final installation, hairline cracks appeared at several locations.
Expertise was launched incl. manufacturer's expert.
Each steps was a struggle for getting information, 2 months seems the norms for answering an email, that usually states that : they have no idea for the schedule / email or file or follow up got lost following change of person / person writing email cannot decide and have to refer to manager/team / colleague.

YF eventually received a new slab under warranty from the manufacturer, which they managed to order in the wrong color (that's not even a joke) ;
They finally came with a proposition of a "generous" 10% rebate, (after 16 months), which we explained was certainly not in line with the damages/drawbacks incurred.
I guess they already resale the additional slab to other customers, making double money on their mistakes.
Every other month we receive an answer claiming " they review", - with who ? which deadline ? No one knows. It's a company where no one is responsible and no one manage sanything.

To say we had a negative experience would be an understatement.

We purchased counters from Lowe’s and they were subcontracted to York Fabrica.

First we were waiting for a call to have them out for a measure. But they had the wrong number on file. Even though we had provided 2 numbers to Lowe’s.

They did not call Lowe’s to let them know instead we had to reach out ourselves to find that out.

On the initial measurement appointment, the man they sent was extremely rude to my partner and her mother, and then refused to measure because our farmhouse sink would not work. Also told us that a sink that sits on top of the counters would have to be installed before the counters.

We followed up with a call to York Fabrica and consulted with our plumber who both concluded that that was wrong information. So a measure was performed and we were told we had to modify the cabinets to fit the sink. (The modifications ended up taking our contractor about 25 minutes).

We then had to wait for paperwork to be sent to lowes which I had to sign and send back with photos of the modified cabinets.

Then we had to wait for another measure, we were assured that after the final measure we would be waiting a couple days for install. We waited well over a week for that follow up measure. It took a further 2 weeks for an install to happen

From the get go, had we been told that the cabinets had to be modified we would have had a much smoother experience, but instead an employee who was clearly unqualified to give that opinion created a mess that took 2 months to clean up. Being misled for time frame was also a major problem. We removed our old counters and plumbing after the first measure because Hemat had told my mother in law that from that point we were looking at a couple weeks until install. Instead we had to go without our kitchen for a month and a half.

If we hadn’t got an incredible price on the counters from Lowe’s we probably would have canceled after the first measure.

Purchased June 4, installed as of August 7. They look great besides a really awful looking cut on one of the ends, Which I have attached a photo of, but at this point I’ll live with it if it means not having to deal with YF again.

I have been enjoying my granite countertop for a couple years now and it still looks grrreat ! The whole process was a breeze. Stella helped me pick out the slab of Blue Pearl granite in the warehouse and they took care of the rest. After the countertop install, I installed the backsplash and wired in the blue LED lights for a kewl effect.
I put a good coat of paste car wax onto the granite once every couple months and give it a good buffing with a soft cloth...gives it a nice hard shine!

Awful company. This company was assigned to us through RONA to fabricate and install our new granite kitchen countertop. The delays have been unnecessary, but understandable if they acknowledged them and tried to fix them. Instead, they say they are not responsible for anything and refuse to take responsibility for the amount of extra time and money they have cost us.

1. They never responded to our order when it was first sent to them by RONA. I sent an email and left a message, to which no one responded. It was a third call which a lovely person answered. She found the order was "buried" in the system and claimed they never received the notice. Blaming RONA. They were nice enough to schedule the measurements to be taken within a day or two.

2. The person who was assigned to take the measurements was over 30 minutes late, past the assigned two hour window. He did not call to say he would be late. When we did get a response to our call asking where the templater was, he said he was only 20 minutes away. He showed up an hour later. We had to take time off work to be there for the initially scheduled two-hour window, and then additional time because they were late. We missed important events at work because of this. We could not reschedule, because we needed the countertop to be installed on time for our move. Without it, we have no dishwasher, sink, stove, or fridge in out kitchen.

3. We were never told we needed to approve the new measurements. A week later, we called to see what was happening, and were told nothing had been done by York Fabricator, because they didn't receive approval for the new measurements. They had sent the measurements to RONA for approval and never notified us or followed up with RONA when they received no response.

4. RONA was fabulous and, once notified, immediately worked to get the new measurements approved. However, York Fabrica's forms were unclear, and the company again caused more delay because they insisted on signatures on parts of the drawings where there was no indication a signature was needed.

We are now three weeks to a month behind schedule, and York Fabrica has done very little. We have a vague promise they will expedite our countertop, with no certain date of when it will be installed. They have not offered any acknowledgment of the inconvenience they have caused or any compensation. They blame everything on other parties, who have only moved as fast as possible to keep to things moving.

I do not recommend using this company.

We recently used York Fabrica for our marble island and we had a tremendous experience. I honestly can’t say provide enough accolades; I guess to put it most simply York SAVED our Christmas! We originally went with another company, what a mistake. They tried to bait and switch us and delivered us a poor quality product. There are a lot of bad marble companies out there but YORK isn’t one of them. In the end we came to York Fabrica and wow what a difference. Our project manager, Marco, was extremely responsive; working quickly, professionally and responsibly. The price was good but the value was SUPERB! We wanted high end luxury look and feel and of course we needed it In time to host for the holidays. Our marble island is the feature of our new home – its what everyone gathers around. Everyone compliments us on how amazing the quality of the product and the finishing is. And you have it delivered and installed on Dec 23rd!!! Simply AMAZING!!

York Fabrica saved our Christmas working extremely fast to deliver a superior product for incredible value. I would highly recommend York to anyone that no matter what your marble and counter needs

When trying to find a new granite counter top we needed something affordable and efficient. Of course that is easier said than done. Fortunately York Fabrica were great with their excellent selection and quick installation. The kitchen looks amazing now!

During slab view we were explained about the specific stone we were going to buy.
