Really exceptional service from Roger and the team at Windsor Plywood. I was looking for some specialty wood for some exposed kitchen shelves and Roger was so great at taking the time to walk me through many different options and finishes that they could do. The finished product (Zebra wood) was more amazing than I could have imagined and have become the best part of my little cabin. Photos attached (side note, yes, I know some things aren't centred or square etc. but it's a 150 sq. ft. re-built cabin that wasn't exactly square or level to start and every inch is important so you don't always get perfect. #cabinlife). Thanks again for everything Roger and Windsor Plywood, I will be recommending you to everyone I know.

We’re building a house. Shopped here for interior doors and ended up ordering stairway spindles and posts. Found the staff and owner to be most helpful, which seems almost non existent nowadays. Prices are competitive. Spotted a beautiful dining table which was made right there by them. Looking forward to going back to have them build one for us!

Windsor plywood Rude and arrogant and to them the customer is always wrong

I needed a special height 34 inch door with right hand swing
They quoted me a price Kool good
I paid extra to have the door height cut down as I could not open the rough opening any higher due to a beam running across the opening
I paid extra to have it assembled and shipped to my house
The door arrived
The delivery guy didn’t knock didn’t call as instructed
Walked past the do not enter sign and went up the Rickety stairs and left the pieces at the top
The door was supposed to be delivered assembled
It was left outside it got wet
You know what happens when MDF gets wet
I found the door outside three days later
Struggled with the door to get it down and into the house
I called Windsor plywood cranbrook about the door not being assembled
The excuse was it is easier to ship in parts
I m not a machine shop
Windsor plywood said that they would pick up the door and assemble it with the door hung in the door frame

They Never Showed Up

That was about 9 1/2 MONTHS ago

Today after getting a bunch of other important things with the renovation project done I went to install the door

I discovered that the door was cut to size
However the door frame was not

Further inspection revealed that the door was not a right swing door as ordered

They shipped me a left hand swing door

I’m not a machine shop

I had a carpenter person here to help m3 install the door
Whom I have to pay for his time

It’s not easy getting a carpenter to come here

What should have been an easy Peasy install took most of the day
Six hours
Instead of two

Much fiddling and frustration later

Had to flip the door over to get the door swing right
Cut the frame down et etc etc etc

I wanna know how much dope are you guys at Windsor plywood are smoking ?

My brother worked at Decor Doors manufacturing doors for twenty years smokes a lot of dope and he never screwed up anything like Windsor plywood did
How is it possible to get the door swing backwards?
And not make the door frame the proper size

Worst service. Asked about a stone product and asked if the colour we like was actually available because it didn’t appear in the company’s pamphlet or on their website. They also couldn’t find it in the system (not that I think they tried that hard). Then we were told “I’m not calling that company to find out they are too difficult of a company to deal with on the phone.” Asked about another product we wanted to order that we saw and had photos of from a Windsor Plywood in Calgary. Got told “we don’t have that I think. We got the display but never bothered to set it up. I could try to look it up but you should just deal with the Calgary store.” Asked again about calling about the stone and getting back to us. They took our number but I’m sure they threw it out the minute we left. I’m still waiting for their call but it’s okay because what I wanted to order was on the front cover of the Home hardware flyer today in that very colour. Hey don’t worry guy and lady about calling back I’ve already ordered it.
