It’s not possible to give zero stars, so one it is! I purchased fabric from this online shop and then sent an email stating how important it was that I get this in good time because it was for a client order. While they did email me back over a day later, they didn’t actually provide any information about shipping other than what I could see in the tracker they provided. Given that I stated it was for a client order, they didn’t check to ensure they even cut the right fabric. So I was sent 5 yards of a fabric that I didn’t order that was almost half the cost of the fabric that I did order. Given that they are a fabric store, you would think they would have checked the order before they started cutting five yards of fabric. They marked this order as ready to shop but It took a week before they actually delivered it to Chit Chats for shipping. When I finally received it and noticed it was the wrong fabric, I sent an email and requested an immediate reply- which was on a sunday afternoon. True. But as a small shop, I’ve had to reply to client concerns on a sunday or even at night because of time zone differences. There was no phone, email or address contact information on the packaging or on the old business card which still said this shop is located in Dundas. As I needed to order the right fabric immediately from a US supplier, I requested a charge back from my credit card company for an incorrect order and sent this company an email asking for their address because returning an incorrect product is required for chargeback. As a member of the textile community I reached out in my instagram to ask if anyone knew the address for this company as the credit card company required it complete my charge back. I finally received an email informing me they provided a refund because I already requested a charge back and ‘likely already got it” and stating they would no longer sell to me and that I shouldn’t “threaten” people on instagram for their address. Oh my! I didn’t realize that politely asking friends if they actually knew who an online business was run by or where they were located was ‘threatening”. I would never buy from this company again. So that’s really not an issue. What is at issue is their absolute lack of transparency in their ordering and shipping policies, their inability to see why a return address on their website or even in their order packaging is truly necessary,, their refusal to provide quick replies when things do go wrong and their lack of taking responsibility for their sloppy business practices. yes, the did provide a refund today for the order, but this was such a terrible experience I would not recommend buying from their shop.
