Vacheresse was recommended to me and I went for the first time. The quality of the meat is so much better than the grocery stores. The chicken breasts, bone in with skin, are big, moist and the taste is excellent. The ground meat, lean, tasted like ground .eat should taste. The service was excellent. I like to support local business and I wasn't disappointed. The cost was less expensive than the grocery stores.

Great products but they don't know how to package or be consistent with orders.
A box of 20 burgers is actually a lumped up bag of burgers.
Also sliced bacon lumped up by the pound in plastic bags.
They totally failed even getting my first 2 orders done.
Then when I finally did get an order completed ftom them it was a packaging mess.

With the terrible pricy cuts of beef coming into Sobeys, Superstore and Walmart we wanted to try a local butcher and try some Nova Scotia Beef. The service was great, they will cut the beef to your desire perfect BBQ size for me 1 inch T-Bone. Cooked it up on the hibachi and I was pleasantly suprised by the flavour and the tenderness. I without any doubt will be returning to Vacheresse. They also have specials and are resonably priced.

For omnivores, this is the most magical place in Antigonish. The Vacheresses are based. I love going there for broth bones, cooking-bacon, flats of eggs, high quality beef and pork, and Overmars greens (in season). They also have lovely baked goods and miscellany for food-lovers. It's very clean and up to standard. Even the bathroom is surprisingly nice! They appreciate your business and really make you feel like you are part of a community.

Kann mich den anderen Bewertungen hier nur anschließen. Wenn ich in Deutschland irgendwo wüsste, wo ich so gutes Fleisch bekomme, wäre ich sofort Kunde dort. Zum Glück kommen wir sehr oft nach Antigonish und zu Vacheresse Meats.

Excellent, friendly service. I am always greeted as though I am a friend of the family and have known me for years. The quality of the meat they sell is wonderful and it's even better that they are a local family business. They also offer a great selection of cheese and yummy meat pies, and their bacon can't be beat anywhere!!
