I've been here three times in the last week, it's a staple of our cottage visits. Lots of cool souvenirs, fireworks, worms and groceries.

I have been going here for more than 10 years and yes things changed a little with the new owners but mostly I noticed product differences.

People complaining about price should drive to North Bay ..it's a long way. You pay for convenience.

We used to go here every time we stayed in Marten River, well this year we decided to go even after reading the reviews. New owners have definitely ruined this place, they should change the name to Crappers Trading Post. $14 for 2 freezies and one drink - Wow now I know why the parking lot was empty every time we went by. Driving to Temagami next time where they don’t follow you around the store while you shop.

We were there on June 19th, around lunchtime. I purchased 2 small freezies and one energy drink and when I questioned the amount I was informed that the energy drink was $9.00. We were 4 older adults and one of your staff followed us around like we were going to steal from you. Absolutely ridiculous.

Cool items, read below. We stopped at the Trading Post while staying at the Marten River provincial park and we were pleasantly surprised with the variety of options. Yes items are highly priced but you are paying for convenience. We are very well aware that the items are unique and brought from the US. We don't even have those options in Ottawa. They have various specialty crush flavours such as strawberry, peach, pineapple (the pineapple crush in Ottawa is similarly priced). They can cool sugar cane root beers, iced coffee with cool flavours and vanilla pepsi, Dr peper cream soda ect. There was obviously everything you need for camping. There are clothing and high hand made (assuming native) quality mittens made with real leather were like 90$ a bit pricey but I understand the time to make. Kids were in heaven going through. I do this Ottawa Kapuskasing trip once a year. We will stop on our way back. Thank you for taking the time to get unique items!

New owners told my son he wasn't allowed to "Browse after 6:30pm he had to buy something...." I've been going there for over 40 years and thanks to that arrogance I'll never go back. I would like to rate them less than 1 but that wasn't an option . I would like to thank all the previous owners for doing a great job over the years, it's a same to see a business get wrecked so fast.

Yes I would call it a trading post. My family bought some cool sweat shirts at a good price, and I got to purchase my beer. It's also a LCBO and beer store outlet.

$4.50 for a powerade? $24.99 for one piece of beef jerky? New owners have ruined this place. I'll never go back. They don't even put prices on things anymore so you don't know until you get cashed out
