I recently participated in a "confident beginner" sewing workshop as part of a small group at this lovely shop and can't say enough good things about the experience. Our instructor, Miri, provided excellent and knowledgeable guidance throughout the entire process. She was patient and kind, with positive support to everyone in the group. It was a relaxed environment with all participants leaving with a feeling of great pride in their final product (kite pants). I absolutely love mine!! The fabric choices in the shop are beautiful. I will definitely be watching for future workshops and can't wait to start my next project. Erin (the owner) is also very welcoming and knowledgeable and has created a wonderful space for learning. I feel so grateful to have this shop with quality products (and exceptional workshops) available close to home.

The sewing club is truly magic. You are greeted by name when you walk in and you can tell that Erin and her team are genuinely so excited to see you and help you make your dream project come to fruition.

I have taken a workshop with Erin and a lesson with Miri and they are outstanding instructors.
They have so many great tips and are so supportive and helpful. They even went so far as to learn something new because I mentioned I wanted to do it.

The shop is amazing and has integrated itself seamlessly into the community. Every time I'm in the shop a neighbor or puppy is dropping in to say hello, it makes the shop feel like a cozy cottage.

The fabric they have in stock is stunning and it's always growing. Everytime I pop in there is something new. The online shop is easy to use and the pattern printing service is so convenient.

I could gush for forever about the sewing club!

The Sewing Club is one of my favourite places in Victoria, and honestly helped this city feel like home for me. Erin and her whole team are so welcoming, and I've had a lot of fun in every workshop.

I have been a customer of The Sewing Club now for two years. Erin, Miri and Jayme have been incredibly helpful and encouraging in choosing patterns, fabrics suitable for those patterns and the classes have been excellent. There is never pressure to buy, only a willingness to make your visit enjoyable and if you have questions, they have answers that for me, just seem to "fit the bill". Absolutely wonderful experience. I’ve been sewing since I was a kid but I had always been to scared to see knits with my machine and this class made it seem so easy. Miri was a gem and was incredibly helpful, my class had all skill levels and she made sure all of us were on track and felt comfortable with the patterns and machines. The shirt is great and I can’t wait to make more and to stop by the sewing club regularly.

I took the Quilted Pillows Workshop a few months back and I had such a blast. I have never touched a sewing machine prior to this but Erin and Penny were so patient with me. I learned an ample amount in one day without feeling overwhelmed and have loved learning to sew ever since!
