Alysha was so very helpful and a great resource! I showed an image of what I was planning to sew and she helped work out how much fabric, measurements and gave me pointers on my first project! My tote bag ended up amazing and I had the perfect amount of fabric. I will definitely return soon for other projects!

Lovely staff, nice selection of fabric and notions, decent prices. I came specifically for their bra making class. The instructor, Linda Crawford, is fantastic! Very supportive, extremely knowledgeable, and a great sense of humour!

I have been sewing for many years, taught by my Mom, and Mrs. Fish in high school. I've been using a 30+ year old Pfaff that is a good, but old and non digital machine. They offer the use of high end digital machines and some older, but still digital machines. If you are not used to that, I recommend bringing your own machine so you are not learning both machine us and bra making. Having to learn two skills slowed me down. But by no means is this a slight on the store or the course - this is a me issue!

This course was absolutely worth the 90 minute drive for me.

These ladies and this store is top notch! I bought a quilting kit awhile ago and recently went to cut it up with my sister (incorrectly and not following the directions as we thought we were doing). I contacted the ladies, thinking fabric was missing but it was totally our error and they very kindly offered to send more at a discounted price. Very prompt in their responses and very helpful in fixing our screw up. And the quilt kit is a gorgeous one (just follow the directions!). Will definitely shop here again. Thank you so much!

Our daughter just completed a summer camp - amazing. She learned so much. All the projects are so cute and useful. We all want a bucket hat now. On top of her having a blast and making amazing things. The projects are so well thought out to teach a pile of skills and tricks and use different materials. Would give a 10/5 if I could.

I started with level 1 sewing class and was blown away how nice everyone is. I learned a lot of new tricks and re signed up for level 2. I find the price of classes is very well priced for all the projects you make in the 4 classes. I 100% recommend this shop for sewing supplies and classes.

I took the beginner sewing class and had a lot of fun! While I found it very challenging since I had no prior experience, the instructors (Linda and Pat) were patient and friendly. I also was able to make a few different items (with a lot of support). These items boosted my confidence and I had some good laughs with my other classmates.
My only critique would be that the class itself had a lot of content. I think it could have been spread out better over more weeks so that I could have practiced concepts that were taught. I would have also benefitted with some visual instructions/steps that I could follow after the demonstrations. These could have helped me work a bit more independently.

We had a wonderful experience with The Sewing Cafe. My child received a sewing machine as a gift, and with no experience, we signed up for the Sewing Machine 101 workshop. It was informative without being overwhelming, and we learned enough for her to come home and keep sewing away! Their patience and kindness was perfect for beginners. I would go back here again. It was great to be able to purchase some items to make projects with once we got home after our class.
