Overall I am quite unhappy with my Organic Box experience. I originally signed up for bi-weekly deliveries and was surprised when my second box showed up 1 week after the first. I double checked my account status, which at the time and still does say Bi-weekly. I sent a message to Organic Box through the Help chat window on the website asking to confirm my deliveries would be Bi-weekly. I did not receive a response.

To ensure I did not receive a third box on week 3, I deleted the box in my account during the available editing window. But once again a box was delivered to me last night (third box in 3 weeks).

This is very disappointing, especially because it seems I have no control over how much money I'm being charged by this company.

The produce has been fine and some "exotic" items have been fun to try. However, I find the organic products do not taste better, there is a lot of plastic packaging and there are often many items from the US or Mexico. This is surprising when I have specifically chosen the Local Box.

If I could give it a negative star, I would. Got a coupon code from a friend to try out some organic fruit and veggie, I placed the order on April 7 and saying the expected shipment would be the April 13th. Saw the pending charges on my card on the order date and everything. The company cancel the whole order without any notices. When I try to reorder the same thing, the promotion was “changed” to a lesser promotion. (May be because they are not making money from the original promo) What a joke! Isn’t there consumer protection on something that was already advertised.

I've used The Organic Box for years. The produce is always excellent quality and they always package stuff super carefully. In the event that an item was missing or produce got accidentally bruised etc. they reply ASAP and rectify the situation immediately. Compared to Spud the delivery fee is cheaper and the products are generally better.
