Me and my 2 girlfriends booked a cabin here over the May long weekend. We didn’t end up staying here for a few reasons:

We were concerned when we arrived that the host did not introduce himself, until we asked him his name. The cabin did not have any capability of being locked either. For 3 women in the bush this was concerning to us. Our next concern was the fact that we were the only people booked for the weekend, which seemed strange as it was a long weekend and most lodging was fully booked. These things triggered our gut instincts so we did some research. Upon looking at reviews, and asking some local friends, we decided for our safety we were not going to stay there. Having no service and the lack of reliable signage from the logging road to find the location was also a concern. We did not personally experience any negative behaviours from the owner. However, we didn’t want to stick around and find out for ourselves. Based on our instincts, reviews and personal stories from friends (which were scary) we decided it was best not to stay. We thought it best to leave an up to date review of our experience for others to make the best decisions for themselves. 1 star review exclusively because of our gut instincts and confirmation from reliable friends.

I have spent countless times at the medicine farm over the last 5 years where I have had the opportunity to bond with Zigaziga as well as eden and partake in a plant medicine cermony which changed my life. As a woman in her 20's i have never felt unsafe in this place for even a second, I've spent many nights talking until the sun came up with the hosts, exchanging tales and spiritual beliefs and I never felt judged for who i am but embraced, never was i attempted to be initiated into a cult. Let me start by saying this is obviously not your typical lodging situation. This is an alternative dynamic, off grid, nature based experience with a host who has been unplugged from the matrix and has chosen to take a path parrell to society for 20+ years.. expect different, expect some "far out" thinking, expect them to speak their minds and not be restricted by usual societal norms. hell i find it entertaining and refreshing. It is not for the faint of heart, judgemental, hoity toity people out there. It is not mundane, do not expect to compare it to commercial lodging in town. Take it for what it is. If your strong enough to embrace it for what it is.. there is so much beauty and magic waiting to be experienced on this off grid land. Im not discounting what others have claimed to have experienced, but I have spent time there more than i can count and I have never had a negative experience. Then again, im not looking to be judgemental and i dont scare easily. This place will always be like a second home to me no matter how far i travel.

We ended up having to cancel our reservatoin over a week out and just a week after booking. When I asked for a refund, I was told no in a relatively normal way. When I littlely protested, in a very polite manor, we were called a group demonics and told god would have his wrath on us.

Idk what goes on here, but clearly the man running the place (douglas or ziga ziga) is not mentally well.

Enjoyed a stay at the Seer for a few nights. Met some of the most friendly animals in my life, all raised by the owner. The dogs and the cats joined us for long hikes and hang out with us in the evenings. Their is a beautiful trail carved out to the beach not for beginners but is definitely worth the effort. Medicine Farm is a unique remote place in the middle of the woods. The host Ziga was very kind and welcoming, let us borrow mugs and wood even offered some of the eggs from the chickens there. We felt very welcomed and safe. Our cabin overlooked the tops of the trees and was equipped with a gas stove. There was a shower and a toilet near by. The roads to get there are rough so don’t go with a car that’s not prepared for forest roads. It’s only a 10 minute drive for Ucluelet. Overall, I would be very happy to return and it’s a great place for calm nature loving individuals.

The road is is terrible, but you think it would be worth if for its beautiful location!

However, you’ll quickly realize that this isn’t a place you want to be. Zig Zag walks around naked the whole time and you never know what drug is in his system.

Stay far away from this cult, unless you’re looking to join a cult of course!

Zig Zag is the real devil!

Although it was hard to find the first time because of no signage we quickly got it figured out. Yes the road is rough but it was a logging road after all. We heard someone had trouble with the dogs that are there to keep the wildlife at bay but we found them to be calm and no problem. The compost bucket was way better than the usual outhouses people have and was clean and no smell for us. We camped and had a great spot. We also had dinner with Eden and it was awesome as was the company. ZigaZig was a bit flakey but part of the experience. We would go again as it is only a half hour from stuff and we want to try the cabins lol.... The shower we didn't try but will next time...it's outdoor living people and way off grid so a choice thing.

We had a fantastic experience hands down!!
We were at the forest dreamer cabin and it had everything we needed. The hosts are amazing bunch as well, they were pretty accommodating. Be aware the cabin isn't like regular bnbs in terms of amenities. Bring your own fresh water, there was no running water at the cabin but that only added to the experience. There was much more to experience like their vegetable farm that we didn't have time to explore in the little 2 days we were there. The highlight was the clan of great pyrenees dogs/puppies they have at their farm. Makes you feel secure and their cuteness is too much to handle
Overall it was a great rustic experience in wilderness, would love to do this again!!

Traumatic. Dangerous. Affiliated with a cult. Do. Not. Stay. Here. Period. We had to report this place to the RCMP and leave in the middle of the night. This place is affiliated with a cult operating under the name “the medicine farm”. Buckle up.

I am going to start with the fact that my friends and I were purposely seeking an off grid experience. We had planned on camping on the island but did not want to bring tenting equip on the plane. I will also say that each of us are very experienced travellers, including rural china, Cambodia, Laos, South America, South Africa, remote northern Ontario communities and more. The off grid nature of the cabin was not the issue. I am not a superstitious person, but the vibe at this place is as EXTREMELY off from the moment we arrived.

This is a cult. Google the Medicine Farm, Uclulet, BC. Read the reviews. Search “expose the medicine farm on Facebook”.

Upon research after leaving the location in the middle of the night due to feeling uncomfortable, we have read accounts of dog attacks with photos, vehicle sabotage (I.e. car wont start when trying to leave), people hitchhiking to escape, drugging, sexual assault, and more, we do not feel that this accommodation should even be listed on Airbnb. It seems (according to Facebook page dedicated to this cult) that the true host (referred to as zee zee, but also known as Ziga Ziga) has continued to create new listings for these cabins after being shut down in the past. The host, Claudie, is referenced as a member of this group on the Facebook account. When you actually have to check in, you do not deal with Claudie, you deal with Ziga Ziga. It sounds like the people who actually stay on the farm area have the worst experiences.

Directions are poor as they do not want you to google the real address as it is linked to the cult. The road is awful but we would have put up with that if everything else had gone smoothly.

The cabin was HOT. like a sauna. Full of massive spiders. The doors do not lock. We immediately had a gut instinct to leave once we arrived.

We decided to leave for the night in favour of somewhere with proper facilities as we had had a long day of driving due to road closures on the island plus the bad vibes. When we tried to leave, the dog(s) were blocking the small path down to our vehicle. We had to run back inside. I texted “zee zee” to ask that the call the dogs back to the main property. He did not respond. We called and he didn’t respond. All of a sudden we heard creepy whistling in the woods. We called out asking who was there. No response. We were huddling in the dark when he came up the steps of the cabin in the wizard attire. He stared in at us in a very disturbing way. I can’t describe it. I actually thought we may have to fight our way out. I actually had to consider what I could use as a weapon on my person if things escalated. And a reminder this is before we go googled the true location and found out it was affiliated with a cult.

He brought 4 large dogs that apparently have had a history of attacking people. We walked in silence to the truck. Once we got moving we started googling more in depth what this place was.

The next morning we visited the RCMP. They have an ongoing file with this place and knew what we were talking about as soon as we said where we stayed. They have received many complaints and said we were smart to leave. I asked aribnb to remove this property but the fellow I spoke to said it was essentially above his pay grade (he was lovely otherwise and I understand this is an obscure issue). I plan on following up with a manager Airbnb to hopefully have this listing banned.

After each negative review on google for the “farm” they refer to them as demons. I’m sure I’ll receive the same comments. Proud demon here lol.

I’ll be leaving reviews on all other platforms as well. That was the advice of the officer.
