Very spacious room, very clean and the bed was super comfortable (and we appreciated the local scenery artwork and decor). Great location to walk around town and having the restaurant on site was a convenience bonus. Front desk staff were all super helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Lodge for the Basin Food and Buyers Expo last week and was delighted. Extremely clean and quiet rooms with comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Everything is walkable within about a 15 minute range (grocery store, shops, cafes, waterfront, chocolate shop, arena)
Bonus points for having a great pub downstairs with lots of options for most dietary needs and 20oz pints to boot.

This picture on their website looked nothing like our room! This hotel is more like a Super 8. The carpet was worn, the decor was tired. The bed was comfy, though. They did have some picnic tables outside. Their restaurant is pretty average, but it was nice to have it there for a meal when we arrived.

This was a mediocre room for a Premium price. No fridge, no ice or ice bucket. Very small room size. 1 small chest of drawers and 2 end tables. Bathroom is about normal. 1 queen bed almost filled the room. Had to go back to the office where I was able to secure a small bag of ice they kept in a locked room.

Really appreciate staff empathizing with our situation when we missed the last ferry because of the present strike and limited hours. Wish we could have stayed the originally planned two nights at their location instead of the one. Thanks again

We stayed at the lodge with my family for my grandmother's memorial. Upon our arrival we met Lani at the front desk, who was friendly and professional with such a personal touch. She made sure the amenities we brought from Seattle for our group stay were placed in the rooms before guest arrival. We had dinner on the patio and Brant, the bartender, was wonderful! His service was comparable to any high end restaurant we have been to (and we are managers in the service industry in Seattle). The food was excellent and we were pleasantly surprised at the high quality. Thank you Chef! The next day we had family coming in at the same time and we decided to have an impromptu dinner of 16. They pulled it together no problem. I can't remember our server's name (pink hair). She handled the large group with ease. The rooms were extremely clean with very comfortable beds. We had some issues with a cancellation and room adjustment which they accommodated with grace. Skye, the restaurant manager, helped us with the details for our memorial and it was amazing! She made a point to email a thank you the next day. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They made a stressful moment in our lives relaxing and enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

Got in early, acknowledged this to the person at the front desk. It was noon and check in 4:00, so if we can get in early would be greatly appreciated…
We killed some time and came back at 1:30, room not ready yet, no problem you have our number. We clean our bikes and enjoy a beer and notice several people arrive and check in and have there rooms within 10 minutes. Back to the desk at 2:45 still n/a, finally at 3:45 we talk to the cleaning staff and all rooms are cleaned and she will check with the desk to see if we can get a room. She returns at 4:00 and says room now ready. I check in and ask why we had to wait 4 hrs to get a room when others didn’t, she advises she phoned a few times and no answer. Confirmed she had correct number and I have no missed calls…you be the judge of the service we rec’d and the best part “have a nice day” as I walked away !

Nakusp is a rather out-of-the-way very small town so our expectations (and experience with a different property some years ago) were not high. But in fact this is a very good hotel/motel. We chose to reserve what they described as a large room with two beds and in fact it was large (with a larger than usual bathroom too). Very comfortable and well maintained. Although it is right "downtown" on the main street it was quiet. The restaurant was good enough that we ate there for dinner twice (and for breakfasts). As with so many properties these days, daily room servicing is not automatic so you need to ask at the front desk or display the "make up the room" sign for housekeeping so keep that in mind. Otherwise, much to be recommended.
