I went in to get my roots done. I'm from out of town. I felt that my hair and head were being twisted, poisoned, and manhandled to within an inch of its life. Beaten into submission, as it were. The fumes from the color reminded me of something from a drug store in the 80s. Twisting my neck back so she could see what she was doing was the most uncomfortable I have ever been in a salon chair, and I go in regularly every 4-5 weeks. I thought I'd pass out. Once to the basin, she scrubbed and scrubbed and pulled so violently I wondered whether I'd have hair left. And then she took 2 towels and basically scrubbed my hair dry as though she had a personal vendetta against it, which is super damaging to hair. Good thing I have lots of it!

And after all of that, the color didn't take and I still have a gray stripe.

Super nice lady, but I think she needs some training in modern/healthy hair treatment practices and maybe a different product line.

She always turns the chair when she cuts hair. I could’t look at the mirror while she was cutting my hair. I saw it when it’s done, and she made too many layers. I want to look how she cuts and dries my hair but I don’t know why she has to turn the chair.
