We've purchased six forklifts, multiple air compressors, and other tools from Strong Hold over the years. Alex and team provide excellent service and value. Negative reviews often miss that this is a high-volume used fleet seller, which involves some risk. Be patient, and you can save significantly.

Beware. I have been watching and analizing Strong Hold for several years now. I have purchased from their auctions but no more. It is my opinion that many of the items they list in 1 auction appear in another Strong Hold auction later on. Or course I cannot prove this 100% because I do not have records of the items serial numbers, but it surely is suspicious.
Recently they switched to bidding in USD$ . Their opening bids are much higher than other auction houses. $1 US is about $1:43 CDN. I wish there was a way to prove my suspicions.

My experience with Stronghold Equipment has been deeply disappointing, costly, and frustrating. During an auction held on The Bidspotter action on September 15, 2023, I won a forklift listed as Lot 209A, expecting to receive what I paid for. However, the unit delivered was not only different in appearance but also in functionality, with completely worn-out tires (including missing chunks of rubber) and many other issues. Despite recognizing the mistake, Stronghold Equipment refused to take responsibility for the mix-up or offer a reasonable solution, insisting that I cover the significant freight costs of return shipping from our Concord facility, which is 1.5 hours away.
The interaction with their customer service team was shockingly unhelpful and dismissive, lacking any professionalism or accountability. This experience has highlighted a major risk for potential buyers. There is a real possibility of receiving the wrong product (purposely or accidentally) without any support to rectify the situation. You may find yourself unsupported and burdened with additional, unjust costs. This situation underscores a concerning disregard for customer satisfaction and fair business practices.
I strongly advise against engaging with such a dishonest business called Stronghold Equipment to avoid similar disappointments and financial losses. Simply look for alternative sellers (buying option) and save money and headaches.
I'm giving one star, but truthfully, if it were a way to give zero, that would be more suitable, given their unmatched level of ignorance that truly goes beyond any rating.

Exact same experience with these guys.

Be wary of purchasing anything from their Bidspotter auctions. Equipment I bid on and lost was put up for sale at their next auction. Many of their lots keep reappearing auction after auction. I have no proof, but suspect they run up the bids by bidding on their own lots. If they push the bidding too far and end up buying their own auction items, they just list them at their next auction. Again, I cannot prove this, but I've been watching for over an year now, and everything I see points to shady operating practices. Also, try googling some of the company names they auction off items for. They don't exist!! No wonder everything is MINT. It is all purchased new and then passed off as being used at another "going out of business" fab shop. Can't post this without giving at least one star. That's one more than they deserv

We won an auction and sent him a label, but the equipment never arrived and FedEx shows no history of receiving it. He has no proof and will not rectify the issue of replacement or refund. I gave him proof of the label history. He would not follow up and would rarely reply. He is a fraud. Do NOT use his company unless you want to risk your cash.

They made the purchase and shipping of auction lots very easy. Only complaint is that they do over estimate the quality of the equipment. They do repaint older equipment. Received one that said nice but had a dead battery.
