I went yesterday (July 31 2025) about 10:00-10:30 am. I picked up cherries and grapes and put them back after seeing that they were a product of the usa. I looked around for bc cherries but didn’t find any. Why keep bringing in produce from the usa? It’s disappointing. I also bought a chicken cranberry panini which had absolutely no cranberry on it at all. Also disappointing. The lady at the check out was very nice though.

For the first time in a long time I shopped at Sobey’s yesterday; I was so impressed with Cindy at the checkout ~ the lady before me was older (I think 100 yrs old) & Cindy showed her so much respect & appreciation. She chatted with her while processing her order, made sure she had everything she needed & assisted her with getting the bags into the cart! All I could think of was that might have been the only person she saw/talked to today and how kind Cindy was! Keep up the great work Cindy, I’ll be back again!!

Only had to pick up a couple things but it usually turns into more. Sobeys store is always nice and clean and they only have real cashiers to wait on you.So nice.This is a review a did a bit back but I changed my mind today. Only 3 cashiers open plus the help yourself ones. The Dear older lady that was waiting on me tried to get a cashier to open up and help the customers out. The young girl told the older lady to chill out and proceeded to wheel out groceries for another customer and then when she came back in she stood talking to other cashiers at the help your self counter.I told her o my way out the lady over by the cashes needed her more then her standing and talking to her friends. If you are trying to lose customers you are doing a good job of it putting in them how help yourself registers. I was in again about 4 days ago and the store was busy and only 2 cashiers open with a long line up at both registers so I seen a lady behind the courtesy desk and asked if any more cashiers were going to open and she said no you have to go tothe self checkouts. I said no I do not have to go to self checkoutsl I left my groceries and went to the Super store
They are trying to force us into using the self checkouts and I will not be forced into using them.I am retired so I have lots of time to go from one store to another.

Never heard anything bad about Sobey's, however they have the steepest prices out of the 3 major shops. Only really went here when I didn't feel like walking further out. That the price we pay for a slighter convenience!

Great selection however and bonus points for connecting to the liquor store!
