I visited today with my family during Alberta Farm Days. It is an incredible farm with a high tech and large greenhouse. Beautiful, fresh and delicious vegetables. Friendly owner. Thank you!

Found her at the Banff Farmer’s Market.
Discovered 2 things:
She IS the Farmer!
And her tomatoes are excellent! Just as she said they would be, they taste the way that tomatoes should taste.
Also her cucumbers are pretty tasty too.
I also bought peppers and basil and they look and smell delicious. I’m very impressed.

I just picked up my first online order from Shirley's Greenhouse. The fresh produce looks great. I also ordered a jar of bread & butter pickles which I will update on once I try them. The Greenhouse put out an announcement that they would be delivereing in Tuscany (Calgary) and I just had to go 2 blocks to pick up my 2 boxes. I plan to make a big pot of Veg Soup & stock the freezer which will be very convenient knowing what is going on around us. They were very friendly & all I had to do was tap my debit card to pay & I was on my way. I will definitely use this service on an ongoing basis & highly recommend to anyone who is looking for farm fresh produce. 🙂

The best and tastiest salsa there is! My husband raves.
I am truly sorry to see Shirley's is no longer in Avenida but got to visit two other locations that carry their products. Always fresh and tasty. The owner, her daughters and staff are all very friendly and helpful.
If you want to support local, here is a great choice!!!!

My family went there for open farm day. We had a great time visiting the greenhouse and the fields. I bought some cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini. Well the taste was great and I should have bought more. It’s good to see where our food come from and to talk with the people’s growing it.

Good produce, said to be grown without pesticides. They have moved to a delivery model (previously was pickup) that you're forced to pay for, in addition to having a minimum order. The delivery system is disorganized and in a mess. If you want to support local, buy their produce at farmer's markets but not online until they sort it out.
