Wow, they honestly have everything and anything you need for quilting and sewing, fabrics, zippers, buttons, even books. It's like the fabric land of Fort St John, probably better. They got sewing machine repair and seamstress for hire services too.

So, I wanted to try my hand at sewing from a pattern. Phoned this company and the had the Pattern, I was looking for and confirmed that was it was in sizes for a child. I told her that I, what's the first timer for making patterns. She agreed to put the pattern behind the counter for me. I drove to the store and purchased the pattern as well as a few other odds and ends. I get home, and I'm ready to get started on this pattern. Open it up, unfold everything going through the pattern for about two hours, thinking I am retarded because I can't figure out how to size a pattern.I realize this pattern does not have any child sizes. Call the store back this morning. Which is the day after purchasing, I might add, and she informs me that she will give me an in store credit instead of my money back because they do not have the child size pattern. I asked how long my credit is good for. she tells me two months. I guess that's one way to double down your money. Sell an item, have it returned, and resell an item, and hopefully, the people don't come back in sixty days to use their credit because then you get double payment. However, I truly did learn from my mistake. Be forewarned if you go into this store looking for help be aware, because they seem to have no problem taking advantage of someone who is new to a craft. I'm very disappointed.

I see the review which has the concern about the dog. This was not a big dog, SHE was very friendly. I grew up with this dog and she was the best.
If this dog was the reason people were not coming to the store that is such a shame. This dog has passed now.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, if they don't have the answer right away they will get back to you as quickly as possible! The owner has put her heart and soul into this fabric store and everyone should visit here. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!!

Good selection, fair prices, and great, knowledgeable and helpful owner and staff. Plus their sweet gaurd dog Mistie always quietly and calmly greets us and our family dog when we pull in with standing silently by my car door waiting for us to pet and greet her, she is always sniffing and is patient while our dog jumps up to give mistie dog lick kisses on her snout lol - she is a pleasure to be around and likes to play with our long haired pug as they run around frolicking in the yard while we shop- it's really amusing to watch from the store window LOL except for when it's time to go home and our dog wants to stay and play longer, but admittedly Mistie is familiar and used to our family and dog because we are regulars and never illegally leave our dog in our vehicle. The Fort St John location store also offers sewing machine repairs and I like the ample free parking.

Everything sewing-related you can imagine. It may be a bit out of your way, but it's worth the short trip to find it. My daughter had to be dragged out of the place! 🙂
