I truly appreciate staff at Save On-Foods for several reasons, in particular their commitment to go above and beyond to serve customers in a cheerful manner. Communication with staff on the phone or in person is a pleasure making staff good representatives of friendliness for Burns Lake. So don't be afraid to ask if you need anything!
My experience with exemplary mindful staff at Save-On for me is how my senior's phone-in order was filled. My grocery list of cranberries, capers, red onions, avocados and butternut squash shows that I am a conciensious wholesome food purchaser. Wanda, who did my shopping made a kindness decision to not select dry mangos from bulk. I assured her I do love mangos and she chose for me Western Family mangos that were fresh and sealed in a container. I'm thankful because her choice made a good impresssion on my taste buds! The mangos were delicious. Well done Save-On-Foods for your high standards, and I see that bulk also now has freshly dried mangos! Life is good when food is good and people are kind!

Selection is great, the store is clean, and it has a very nice atmosphere. The staff are very helpful to customers. I would like to have seen more cashiers as the one girl was going full tilt, but there was a lineup halfway to the freezers in the back. I don't know how the system works there, but if the only cashier working is calling for another cashier to help, trained staff should not be giggling in the back area about it. Don't forget, customers hear you even when you work it the stock/freezer area. Get your a** out there and help, it's called team work. And this was a long weekend Saturday. I can't remember the young cashier ladies name, but she was native with glasses. She did an outstanding job and should be well rewarded. It is because of employees like this that keep customers coming back.

Nice shopping for foods and more! They were very well stocked from what I saw and had a great selection of different things spices and more! Hopefully in the future I will be visiting Save on Foods more! Beautiful community with very friendly people. I was very satisfied with all the groceries that I purchased for my lovely stay in the area. As well as the different spices that I actually could not find back in Ontario even that I bought to take back home with me. I was surprised at the size of this grocery store given the location! Cannot wait to become a part of the community and will be using Save On Foods for my families grocery needs while there! Truly a great grocery store for all of your needs! However I did find their pet food selection to be small so to obtain those items unless they begin to bring in more of a variety I will sadly need to go elsewhere. But otherwise everything looked great! Thank you for treating me like one of your own during my stay!

The staff are always helpful except for the manager. He seems to have problems with any observations made by shoppers. For example, my husband was buying milk when the cashier pointed out that it expired in 2 days. When the manager was approached asking for a reduction in price, he was extremely rude. My husband, age 87, will not shop in the Burns Lake store again!

Small town
Grocery store
No deli, but they had cold cuts pre packaged.
The produce section was just as stocked as the bigger stores in cities just less of each product.
I was pleasantly surprised on how friendly the staff and patrons were while I visited, such a lovely town.

Two indigenous girls helped us sign up for the points card. We are hard of hearing and they were so polite and let us type our email out ourselves to make things easier. Very nice staff. Clean building.

By far the worst Save On Foods I’ve been in in BC. They constantly have empty shelves, their meat and bakery sections are tiny and lacking selection. Their staff are rude and dismissive when you ask them questions. I regularly make large grocery purchases for the field camps that I operate, I will no longer be coming to this store with my company money. I’d rather burn the extra petrol to drive to Houston to shop at Buy Low Foods
