What a good selection of stuff for a smaller town of 1300. Reminds me of my hometown grocery store back home in Saskatchewan. A little run down, but I love it! The airplanes hanging on the roof are cool.

This place is small, the isles are kind of narrow and there's alot of stuff for such a small area. It's expensive but they sell things that the Salmo Village Grocery doesn't. I've lived in Salmo for almost 3 years now and have only shopped there 2ce, this 2nd time was only because I ended up with a gift card for it. I really can't afford to shop there so if you are low income like me it's not the place to shop at.

use to be a go to for groceries in Salmo but not sure what has happened. lots of changes and not in a good way. selection has steadily declined including what used to be a good meat dept. owner/manager seems to have a chip on his shoulder and not afraid to share some extreme views. still great cashiers but i won’t be back. luckily the other grocer in town has upped their game. RIP Salmo foods.

Grocery shopping in salmo is very expensive, it's better to spend the gas to drive to castlegar trail or nelson to go shopping even paying for gasoline to drive 30 minutes to is cheaper than shopping in salmo for food, food prices in salmo are ridiculously, when food is already ridiculously priced, price gouging for groceries by the two Grocery stores in salmo is ridiculous

There is a wide selection of non-standard foods - far wider selection than what one would normally think of in terms of organic, GF, and lactose free, especially for such a small town. The shop owners and staff are very easy to talk with and knowledgable. Many local products on offer as well. Prices can be higher for some items, but many items are as cheap or cheaper than in town, and those that are not are often cheaper than the cost of fuel to get to the bigger centers anyway.
