Very rude and unfriendly staff!!
I am six months pregnant and we had been driving across the island in a tractor trailer. During the night we hit and moose (very little damage) but we decided to stop and get some rest. There weren’t many options to park and the Riffs parking lot was wide open so we tucked away in the corner out of the way to get a bit of rest. We dropped the trailer and drove to Tim Hortons for tea and intended to come back, have a look in the store when they opened and likely spend some money to support them. In the 30 minutes we were gone a staff member called the RCMP to report us for parking there and asked for us to move. No big deal. We went back to move away. The lady that called the RCMP was standing on the completely empty parking lot waiting for us so she could say her piece. She was very rude and unfriendly and seemed to just want to ruin someone’s day. Not the great Newfoundland hospitality this province raves about. Anyway, Riff’s usually has some nice baby clothes that we would have bought, but never again will I spend a dollar in such an unfriendly, heartless store. God forbid they have a tractor trailer come to deliver their products. I hope she sees this and realizes that it’s truck drivers that keep her in business and without them she wouldn’t even have the ability to buy groceries.

I went to exchange a pair of pants I had bought for a Christmas gift. I had the receipt and then still refused to return them. Stating 'i don't know if they were bought here or not. If I didn't buy the pants there. Why would I have a receipt for it. I only wanted to exchange it for a larger size. Very unprofessional and rude employees. Refused to let me talk to anyone higher up in management. This will be the last thing I'll ever buy at this location.

I tried to return a pair of wind pants that were too small for me to wear but they refused to take it back. The idiot I was dealing with claimed that the pants looked like they were worn. She was an absolutely terrible person to deal with and would rather argue with me instead of listening to what I had to say. Because of this I will never shop there again.

Not sure what the problem with this store is but I was apauled at the extremely high price tags on EVERYTHING. Went in for a Hi-Vis jacket and they are selling the same jacket that Walmart sells for $44.99, for $139.99 at riffs. Needless to say I turned around and walked out without wasting a single dollar.
