I am writing this review for a senior person, since I had to deal with the aftermath. Needless to say - on October 24 2024, at approximately 12:56pm, an elderly senior woman went into this location to have her lottery tickets cashed, knowing exactly how much she had won.

The teller a tall young darker skinned man told her that her tickets were all losers and she had won nothing, and threw her tickets in the garbage. When she questioned the teller knowingly having a $10 winning ticket - another employee, an old lady with blond hair attacked this senior verbally telling her to never return to the store again, yelling and belittling the senior and protecting the teller without knowing the whole story.

In the end the $10 lottery ticket was pulled out of the garbage can and paid out to the senior, but not until after she received the abuse she received for only trying to get what she was owed, and because she stood her ground after the abuse for what was right.

I believe these two are in on scamming seniors out of their lottery winnings, since most elderly people would say it is not worth the $10 to argue, and be abused and belittled in front of other patrons. It's embarrassing!!

I have filed complaints on behalf of this senior with Petro Canada head office as well as informed BCLC of the alleged scamming going on, but I still feel this is not enough. I am writing this review to warn others to be sure to stand their ground and maybe be aware of the lotto winnings they are owed prior to entering this store and trusting them with lottery tickets that are rightfully winners. I truly hope BCLC will take this seriously and pull their lottery license.

I am so traumatized that the response of staff was to scream and yell and ask a senior patron to never return to the store again for $10. That they were in all conceivable notions trying to scam a senior out of their small lottery winnings.

This store should be ashamed of it's staff and should have some form of reprimand for both these employees. Not to mention compensation for the senior who was attacked by their staff for doing absolutely nothing wrong but trying to cash in and purchase lottery tickets, and embarrassed in front of other patrons.

You should be ashamed of yourselves and your staff!! I really wish Google would allow negative star reviews, because this location could use a few -5 Star reviews after this.

Nice little location easy clean, great for some fuel and a quik cup of coffee. Last stop for fuel for a long time! If your headed towards Summerland or Penticton fuel up if your thinking Hmm I might just have enough.. don't do it lol, just fuel up!

i needed bus fare and i went to 6 different places and the girl at the counter this morning was the only person who helped me with a solution (bus tickets i didn't know about) since everywhere else either didn't do cash back or have an atm i could go to without a fee. very helpful staff.

Both ladies Robin & Kim were awesome.I did not even purchased anything but they were super happy (Felt Welcomed) to give me washroom keys.This kind of energy is rare in big city gas station.

One of the cleanest Gas station washroom I ever saw.

Extremely disappointed in this location. Staff has 0 customer service skill. I had to go in as I only had cash on me. I went right up to the front counter and the guy was too busy with his phone to be bothered to help me. After about 30 seconds he finally looked up. Seen I had a $50 bill and mumbled I cant change that. I said, but I want $35 in gas, you dont have $15 for change..? Needless to say I went across the street to another station.

We like to stop here for cold drinks and junk. Slushies are good though slightly too much water. Staff are friendly and efficient. The store supposedly limits to 3 customers at a time but only once we've had to wait outside. Generally a busy location at the gas pumps.

There really oughta be an opening in that fence between plaza 33 and the petro can lot so people don't have to walk through traffic to get into the store.

My boyfriend and I come here often, he really likes the petro points rewards system as do I, getting three cents back per litre on all my rbc accounts is wonderful! This Perto Canada is always very clean and put together, the ladies at the front are kind and helpful the only thing is I wish they had a security gaurd. More than thrice I've gone in and crack heads/ meth faces have literally been loading their pockets or bags or whatever and the girls are too nervous to say anything... I dont blame them, it's not their job to fight off druggies I just wish there was a solution.
