"This place is wonderful and meaningful, especially for families and retirees who struggle to make ends meet with rising utility costs and fluctuating food prices. I have an elderly friend who visits regularly, and I often accompany him to help carry his groceries home. The new facility is a huge improvement, offering a dignified shopping experience with no more waiting outside in the cold. The setup allows clients to shop using carts, which helps reduce waste and ensures they get exactly what they need. The staff are friendly and informative, making the experience even more pleasant."

The new system of picking your own food is so much better than before. As somebody with a lot of health issues and have to avoid certain food triggers. It’s way easier to do it this way and feels like I’m able to not take home food that could be given to others. I do highly recommend others donate more vegetarian options or fresh food. Not everyone can rely on canned food that has high acidity so like other types of pasta, sauces, and canned foods. Canned vegetables is great because you can add them to a bunch of different meals. Easy to make things as it can sometimes be hard when you’re chronically ill or in poverty to have to make meals consistently, especially if you’re working a lot. Donating toiletries, toilet paper soap and more essentials that aren’t food is also a great idea! Anything for babies or children, seasonal like eczema, relief, handcream, socks, travel tissues. These are just some things I’ve thought of but I’m sure others have great feedback in terms of other things that would be good to add to this list.
