The Best Propane Distribution Service Provider in the Ottawa Valley!
Recently, I was compelled to select a different propane provider to supply my residential requirements for home heating and gas range stove cooking. As a cautious and well informed consumer, I do my background checks very carefully, to ensure that I obtain the best service possible and at a competitive price. I considered several local propane distributors in my region of the Ottawa Valley including Stinson & Son and Propane Levac, who did not impress me, based on either poor reviews or higher overall pricing. I was a former customer of Superior Propane who in my opinion as a client of six years, provided the worst customer service and pricing. It seems that once a company expands in size, their customer service, product costs and policy transparency becomes worst. When a consumer makes regular payments on time for propane but the company continually makes excuses for being late, and overcharges, its time to look elsewhere. However, there is a much better company option for dependable propane service provisions set at reasonable pricing.
My service expectations in this currently expensive economy, where you are lucky to obtain even "half the service for twice the price", puts emphasis on getting the "best bang for your buck"!
With that in mind, I finally found the most reputable and reliable Propane Service distributor in the Carleton Place and Perth, ON region, who also serves other districts of the Ottawa Valley. P38 Energy Canada is your best choice for premium quality propane delivery, that is fairly priced on a reliable basis. Their charges are quite clearly competitive overall and surprising affordable, given today's Canadian price hikes for many service sectors. My recent experience with P38 Energy is an excellent example of ideal customer service with the best product provisions going in our region. After getting shafted by "Superior Propane" with 2 consecutive excuses for non delivery, and with my gas reserves down to 10%, the situation was quite urgent, especially in these winter months.

I had originally contacted P38 on a Saturday by email after offices hours, but still received a quick response by Guy Marchand on Sunday by email. Guy informed me that I would hear back on Monday to discuss becoming a client. Sure enough as promised, I was promptly called on Monday morning and messaged. You can actually reach their sales agents and customer service reps very quickly and expect to receive a speedy response! I considered all their service provisions, which Andrea efficiently explained in detail and with complete transparency. She answered all my service questions upfront. My request was processed within an hour or so. Thankfully, after I had worriedly mentioned my dilemma of very low propane reserves, she expedited the delivery of my tanks. Andrea said it could probably still take a few days at least though, given my sudden notice. Regardless, can you believe it, the next day my two 420lbs tanks were dropped off and filled up the same day in record time! In addition, I was Not charged the mandatory propane safety inspection fee carried out the same day, since it is their gesture of thanking new customers for their patronage. The technicians made sure that my Furnace and Gas Stove were working properly and that all safety protocols were met to the TSSA provincial standards. So without any hesitation, I highly recommend P38 Propane Energy for the best choice to meet all your residential energy heating needs. As well, for those interested, they equally provide their propane distribution, products and full services for all client applications. Also, if I required any propane appliances.....I would certainly check them out first!

I have been with this company for 15 years (previously was Budget Propane) and the last 4 months have been the worst service ever. Just in last 7 days I have had to call 3 times for propane delivery. P38 keeps saying they will fill it up and that was over a week ago. Maybe today is the day I get propane. If it wasnt so much of a hastle I would be switching companies. Come on P38 get your act together! Your customer service needs some help. Rates go up and service goes down.

I’ve been dealing with p38 Energy in Arnprior for the past 12 yrs or so. And I can say without reservation, I have received absolute top notch service. That’s includes fuel service, office staff and maintenance service. The latest being help I received from Shawn (Sean?)at the office. He actually arranged for the fuel delivery truck to return to my house because when it went by my driveway was occupied. Little things like that sound insignificant but in the overall scheme of things really matter. You get 5 stars from me.

No problem taking money out of your account unauthorized. When it's to be returned, it's a whole other story. They tell you the money will be returned the same day when in reality they have no idea how long it will take and expect you to deal with your bank plus all the fees their error has incurred.. Though an email transfer would have worked, they refused to do that. They sent me an email saying I had until June 30th to cancel any payments. I called June 29th and the money was still taken out of my bank. I don't understand how they can take money instantly but returning it, they expect the customer to wait days. Surely they understand what fees this will cause( loss of overdraft, nsf charges, etc)

We have been using this company for approximately 6 years since we changed from oil to propane. We rent 2 tanks..this year we didn't use enough propane according to the company so they charged extra money for the rental. I guess this was our reward for trying to save on heating costs. Thank you from a "valued" customer.

Horrible customer service. Had to request propane twice now both requesting their option for "within 48 hours" after first request their delivery date was 7 days later! After second request got an email asking me to change my account status! Plus no update with delivery date. Claims that the "request comes with a 7 day delay" Coldest weather in 100 years they don't care about you, your family or your house. They just want a pay check. What kind of business practice is this? Avoid at all costs.

As seen in the comment below "the owner will get back at you very shortly. Our customer service is important to us". Sounds like a joke to me! It is now 24 hours later and still no contact. From anyone from this company. Like I said this business does not care about you, they only care about the money you give them. And that money you give them for the services that THEY offer is also a scam.

Not impressed! I was a loyal Budget/P38 customer for 9 years. I was on an auto fill agreement where they automatically fill propane when required and no involvement required from me (the customer) other than paying the bills. This agreement worked great for 9 years. In June 2021, I ran out of propane on a Saturday. I had no use of my range, bbq, and no hot water. I thought no problem, these things can happen so I called the Valleyfield 24/7 number at head office as the Arnprior office was closed on Saturday. I was told from the P38 individual I spoke to at Valleyfield l, that they will fill me up as an emergency fill at a cost of $200 for trucking fees paid by me. Why would I pay for their screw up? We had an agreement with auto fill that I pay the bills and they monitor and fill propane. They didn’t honour their end of our agreement. If I was in a will call agreement and I ran out of propane, I totally understand that the customer should pay, but why should I pay for their screwup? As a result, I have switched suppliers and any supplier I have spoke to since have clarified to me that on an auto fill contract if the customer runs out of propane they will not charge for trucking to complete an emergency fill, as it’s the suppliers responsibility. No more P38 energy for me. I would prefer to pay a little more and have reliable service from a supplier that honours the agreements in place. I live in West Carleton for reference.

On an auto fill arrangement. Ran out of propane on a Saturday, woke up to a freezing house with my young child freezing. Called the after hours line and was told I would be charged an extra 200$ to come on a Saturday to fill. Typically my tanks would be filled up by now, so not sure why they had not been to fill and why now I am stuck either freezing or paying extra money for a service when I never got the service. Not impressed. The rep I spoke to on the phone was also very impolite.
