Clean public washrooms, downstairs.
Our go to for a quick cheap lunch..chicken strips or wings with mac & cheese.. $9 . Shrinkflation means you no longer get dipping sauce with these items.

Staff are friendly! Selection is OK for a small town. Some of the prices seem a bit steep to me. The store itself could use an update.

Tonight my son and I visited to pick up a quick bite to eat for supper. As we walked in the was POP up everywhere for free Marvel card with a $25 dollar purchase.

My son being a big Marvel fan was excited so I decided to buy quite a bit more than we planned so he could get one of the cards. He was talking about it at the cash and we rang in and paid for all of our items. The cashier didn't mention anything about the free card so I asked. Apparently the offer didn't start until tomorrow.

Nowhere on the displays did it mention that. Needless to say my son (and myself) were quite disappointed.

As a business if you put up your displays you NEED to have the things available that you are advertising. Especially if it is aimed toward children. A little disappointed with the store at this point.

Great local store. The prices are quite a bit higher than most grocery stores but you pay for convenience.

The employee's are very nice!

Store is small but has lots of the everyday items we need. The deli is great. Lots of choices . Nice to still have a hometown grocery store.

I have not been there in many, many years, but I find it comforting that it looks the same to me. I was very lucky to grow up in Powassan and I was always very excited to visit the “Cookie-Club”- where we would receive one cookie each if we stopped in for quite the detour in the opposite direction of my childhood home. Considering that my kind neighbour was constantly baking us cookies and all sorts of fresh sweets, and my parents always had cookies available for dessert, we were more motivated by the friendly face that greeted us than anything else. I was a very shy child so the man who handed them out was certainly very kind. I don’t know if the Cookie-Club still exists, but it was Oshell’s at the time. I have many other fond memories, including when my brother smuggled in our hamster in his pocket underneath his jacket.

Very nice and clean store. The meat department is great. The deli/bakery however is the best great and very helpful and friendly staff that make delicious stuff their pepperettes and rotisserie chicken are 2 of our favs in our house. We go shopping in North Bay and stop at O Shell's on the way home for groceries because they have things at their bakery and deli that only they have. Check is good also when they see a line up starting they open every check out till the line ups are gone. Thank you to the owners and amazing staff for making shopping pain free.

Was there to pickup some items..they were out of stock of one item. One of the clerks went to her own home and brought me the item I needed from her own supplies. I will definitely be back..so kind!! Ty
