Terrible experience from the start. I purchased the unlimited tuning package in December for my 4th gen Ram 2500 and the tunes I received were throwing engine codes for the ECM. When I asked for help the response time took days and I was asked to pay for a revision. After another email explaining how I just purchased the tunes, a few more days go by and I finally get a response from the owner. He states his customer service needs to be trained up a little better, I shouldn’t have to pay for a revision, and that he would get a new tune out to me. The next tune I was sent caused excessive valve noise, the shift points were sloppy, would sometimes slam into 3rd from 4th causing a violent lurch, and would just shift way to soon or too late depending on the tune level. At this point I’m over it and ask for a refund or even a partial refund for the trouble because the tunes were just not working out for me. The only response I get from their support is “sorry we can’t refund digital products.” No other solutions were even offered. Maybe their tunes work for some people, but I guess if they don’t work for you then you’re just out of luck and several hundred dollars. I only wish I would’ve took that advice of some of the other negative reviews and forum post.

Helped my friend on his 2020 Ram 2500. Tune was great, even though we bricked the ECU during the initial flash. We mailed the ECU and had it recovered/bench flashed by optimal. Once it returned, we plugged it back in and truck fired right up. Has 5 SOFT settings and they all work great! Awesome support and communication.

I was chasing a low power issue with a Ford Cummins swap for over a year and a half. After contacting Optimal Welding, they were able to perform a few data logs and dial in the truck to perform better than I ever could have expected. This was the ONLY tuner, of the few that I had used, to actually ask for a data log and offer any assistance in troubleshooting. They provided exceptional service, fast responses and have the knowledge to diagnose and really dial things in.

I received my tuner fairly quick and Matt the seller was very helpful. I can't really give an honest review due to not have everything that I want to upgrade on the truck. It has nothing to do with the tuner I just want to install everything at once.

Purchase an hp tuner and 6 position switch for my 03 Ram 5.9 and it exceeded my expectations. Extremely easy to program and install. Great value and the only company to offer switchable tunes on the fly for early Cummins that I could find. Fast support via email as well.

Customer service was great. I sent 14 emails to optimal welding and received responses for every email within 10 minutes. I received my part within a week. I also had a few issues upon receiving my part and got someone with knowledge of my part on the PHONE on two separate occasions (phone didn't ring long). They resolved my problem fairly quickly. Also my part seems to be working flawlessly after installation. I am pleased with my purchase 100%.

Not happy.
Took multiple revisions to get something half way drivable. Still have check engine light, and plenty other issues. Paid for a revision when I got a new turbo setup. After I paid Told me just use old file. These guys are a Waste of money. Go someplace else
