Short version: Excellent customer service. High quality product. Highly recommended.

Long Version: In January of 2022, I ordered a new product from NWF that they had just finished designing, the tacoma ecocrawler with triple sticks. Even though it took longer than the expected 10 week lead time (it arrived it June, the only reason I give them a 4 out of 5), when I called for updates I always got someone on the phone who was pleasant and able to tell the status of my order with specifics on what was where in the process. I had regular 10-15 minute conversations with Kris, one of the product specialists for this specific product, and he always took the time to answer my questions on my order and my specific application.

Parts were 100% complete when it arrived. I had absolutely everything I needed between my donor cases and what NWF supplied. There were some nuances between the instructions they provided and my application, but the instructions were extremely detailed with lots of pictures, easy to follow, and outlined the tools and parts needed. I had few questions during install that I called about, and even if I couldn't get a hold of Kris or another person at NWF who new the answer, I had a call back the same day from someone who could help me.

I have a few thousand miles on this setup now, coming from a 4.7 crawlbox, and even though I sacrificed final ratio with the 2.57s in the NWF box, I have no regerts. The NWF has performed flawlessly, and unlike my prior configuration, it doesn't spit oil out the shifters or weap at the trans. It utilizes factory planetary gears, factory seals, and factory flanges. Unlike the 4.7s options out there, it doesn't use any silly spline adapters or oil seal extension housing, and instead of a splined connection between the cases, they give you a new shaft that mates with the factory shift collar and low engagement ring. You can also clock it with their triple sticks, which I did not do, but it's designed to work clocked.

Add to that fact that you can use the ecocrawler with your factory planetaries to adapt to other non-toyota tcases. It is extremely well thought out, and beautifully engineered.

Thanks to NWF for bringing a great product to market!

Be aware that apparently a black box is not intended for high speed use. If you use it at highway speeds it heats up and melts a plastic thrust bushing potentially causing catastrophic failure. After buying and this fact not only not being disclosed but on their website it saying "The Black Box can be shifted between 1:1 high range for highway duty" I experienced this failure. I have now been told by NWF I need to install a pump and cooler if I want to use it for anything other than rock crawling. These limitations should be clear on the website so a person shopping for an under drive can make an informed choice. For my application I Should have bought an Atlas

My experience with them has been pleasant. The only thing I've ordered has been the VW TDI Universal engine mount kit, and it worked perfectly for me. I've recommended that my friend get a set of them and their Toyota adapter plate (although I used another vendor for my swap) for his upcoming 4Runner build that we're doing.

If I was moving, just on the off chance that I did, and had ordered something from them, and it hadn't shown up by the time I changed my location, then I'd would use common sense and contact them! "Hey NWF, I haven't received order XYZ, but I'm moving. Can you please change the delivery address for me?" Did you think they have some sort of ESP? This is why I could never deal with customers. I could never deal with individuals willing to blame my work on their inability to follow directions/use common sense on account of them using all their brainpower to remind themselves to breathe. NWF keep up the good work!

These guys were great! I went 2 minutes before they closed to ask for a price estimate on some work I needed done, but instead they stayed open late to do the work for me! I was so happy to get my car fixed and they were extremely nice about it! I’ll definitely be going back to get more work done.
