Everything is to expensive I would rather go to Costco in pc I can get more stuff there I can buy more meet and food and laundry detergent just for 350 but at independent 700$ or 600 I’m going to stop buying groceries here I would rather go to Prince George for groceries forever thank you for read my review hope you have a wonderful day

New owners have taken away many "No Name" or PC products so you have no choice to buy the more expensive brand.
Susan, the owner is so very rude and accused so many people of stealing. It doesn't matter what colour of skin. The store needs to be reported.
I feel like these new owners are getting rich from the backs of all of our people. I'll never use their self check out for the simple fear of being treated poorly.

Be careful during apple season when bears come in to town. Here is a black bear just behind the store checking out what is available bear shopping style. Reminded please never approach a bear who wants food. Otherwise, its a great place to pick up essential items on a weekend.

I never buy produce, dairy or meat here. In the past, I've actually seen a pallet of milk sit out in the warm store for at least 20 min (the time I was there, probably longer) with out anyone ever beginning to put it away. The store feels grungy and most of the staff seem miserable working there. Almost every time I've gone to Independent, I've regretted and wished I had just gone to Co-op. I usually only went in for a few items I could only get there or for a sale on pantry items.

Sorry but any time meat goes on sale, that item is never on the shelves. Went there 2 days in a row trying to get the prime rib on sale and it never got refilled once. Meanwhile Vanderhoof coop never seems to run short on sale meats. So it’s definitely not a hoarder buying the supply up.

If you don’t want to participate in the sale that’s advertised on the flyer, then just say so. That way we don’t waste our time coming down for items that won’t be there.
