We love visiting here, even if we don't need anything. While I've never met Marlene, we have had the pleasure of meeting her husband who is an exceptionally sweet and kind man. I have an heirloom quilt that I was given when I was born. It gets a lot of use and love and I've had it repaired three times before. It was in quite bad shape, so we popped in here for help. Not only did they help me find multiple materials that I loved to replace some of the squares, but when I asked if they had on-site sewing, he said they were full for orders. Instead of turning me away though, he gave us the business cards of two other local seamstresses that came highly recommended. The one who fixed my quilt was not only very quick, but she did am excellent job - the best repair yet - and was extremely competitively priced. What an amazing little local shop who supports other local businesses. Highly recommended.

Took a machine I purchased in here for repairs in April 2019, was told it would take one month. 5 weeks later when we called to check on the status, they informed us they hadn't even ordered the part yet, and that it would be ready in another month (now June 2019). As of Aug 26, 2019 not only was the repair not complete, but they had stopped communicating with me. When I asked for the machine back, they charged me $20 for the "quote" on the damage, despite keeping my machine for 4 months with no updates and no compensation.

I dropped off a machine Wanting to buy a foot peddle and get it serviced in April. Was told it would be a 2-3 week turn around because they were backed up. A month later I called to check if it was ready. Was told a part needed to be ordered. I called every week for several months. Each time was told they were trying to find the part ( baby lock machine was only a couple years old and bought from this store) but couldn’t find a supplier. I went in October to pick up the machine to take it somewhere else. The little arm that holds the spool was snapped off. He said he has broken them off before because of its location but said he didn’t do it, that it was like that when I dropped it off. It was not. I have a copy of my slip and it clearly shows it was there for reg maintenance not repair. He said he couldn’t do anything for me because he can’t find the part. I took it to a different repair shop and had it back cleaned and fixed in two days.

Took my Singer sewing machine I inherited to get serviced and am very pleased with what I got for what I paid. Extensively knowledgeable staff who genuinely want to help you achieve whatever your sewing goal is, no matter your experience level. Top notch!

Jim is very knowledgeable. I knocked the timing out on my 3 year old Babylock machine (silly mistake) and Jim knew what it was immediately. More than that though, he also found and fixed a problem that three other repair people hadn’t been able to fix - dating back to when I first bought the machine! It works like a dream now.

Great place to find what you're looking for. The owners are obliging and willing to share the their knowledge and expertise. Very helpful and encouraging! Lots of fabric and accessories in stock. They had the foot for my sewing machine that I couldn't get at Fabricville. Nice to buy local.

Picture what would happen if you mashed together a fabric store and a thrift store. A magical place with hidden treasures in every corner. If you are looking for something unusual or rare, this is the place to look. Marlene and her husband are very helpful and knowledgeable. I always leave with something special.
