Very disappointed with this company. We chose their epoxy grout for our bathroom renovation because we were told that they offered quality products that offered a great colour consistency, however, this is not the experience we had. We unfortunately ran out of grout during the renovation and had to purchase a second batch of grout to finish the work. The product purchased was the exact one and the exact same colour both time, however, the second batch turned out much darker than the first one. We tried to fix the problem using a grout refresh, which turned out to be a failure as well.
We contacted Mapei for some help and they told us there is no way to insure colour consistency from one batch to another, and that two batch of product cannot be exactly the same. That all the product should be purchase from the exact same batch or it might look different. So I guess you cannot really rely on their product of colour swatches.
They told us it's impossible to replicate the colour of the first batch and we should perhaps colour the entire wall with grout refresh (a 9 x 25 foot of mosaic tile) if we want the colour to be the same.
So I guess the grout refresh they are selling to match their grout colour can't be trusted either.
Pretty disappointed with their answers and their failure in proving us with any advice or solution.
