A couple of days ago I had a problem with the bottom thread tension with my 43 year old sewing machine. I needed it for a sewing session I was having at my house, and Mitra agreed to take a look at it immediately. She spent about an hour adjusting certain settings, and showed me the importance of using the right thread with the right needle. Now the stitches on my machine look lovely...just the way they are supposed to look. I am very grateful for the immediate service that Mitra gave me.

Brought my Kenmore machine in for service and not only was it a quick turnaround (3 days) but received so much information when I picked it up. I felt the cost of the service was very reasonable given the fast, friendly and knowledgeable service given. Will definitely be bringing my domestic sewing machine here again.

It was a very nice interaction my mom and the owner mitra talked about how she wanted it done and she also said she would send photos of one of our families Christmas stockings to see how she would like it. She in-fact did not send any photos of them so we then come to get them. All of the names on each of the stockings were crooked and not placed in the area we asked them to be placed when we ask why she said there was no discussion about that we said yes there was and she said no there wasn’t. We asked her to fix them which she said you will have to pay more. If you would like a job well done don’t go here.

The instructor, Mitra, is personable and knowledgeable: a lovely person. However, in hindsight, I do wish I had visited this business before paying $593.25 for seven classes. I would have been better off just paying for one or two private lessons, which, frankly, seems to be Mitra's stronger point.

Other than offering sewing classes, Mitra is also responsible for sewing machine repair and is the local Janome representative. In December, when the first classes took place, the latter were frequently interrupted by customers wanting some sewing machine service. This led to disjointed, scattered teaching that lacked structure, often felt improvised, and set the tone for what lessons remained in January.

Finally, please be aware that the teaching venue is cramped and, in cold weather, is made even smaller by a space heater, which was often needed to warm up the space.

Mitra did her best to find a replacement for the stripped gear on my 40-50 yr "old faithful" Singer, but was unable to find one, even through her extensive connections in the industry.
So... I finally bought a new Janome (just a solid basic model with all the features I need - nothing fancy, & a VERY reasonable price) from her and will get back later with a review on how well it works for me 😉

Great experience and great customer service. Mitra is very good at her job and I highly recommend her to people that are getting ready for weddings.

This place has literally changed my life! I have been coming here for a bit now and everything I get out of here is pure quality and excellent service! I was offered free sewing classes after purchasing some machines! I do not go anywhere else for supplies. This place makes you feel like you’re a part of their family ❤️
