I’ve had the pleasure of using many of MakerLabs' services and have always been impressed with the results. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making every project a great experience. From laser cutting and CNC to custom foam manufacturing, painting, and woodworking, their expertise shines through. We first encountered MakerLabs several years ago during an East Van Cultural Crawl. We were amazed at the facility and the equipment they have for artists and craftsmen.
After ordering an Hinoki plank from Japan, MakerLabs was my choice to mill a bath tub tray I had designed.
The price was reasonable and turn around was just a week. Workmanship was incredible. A big bonus was their ability to laser etch a kanji phrase on the front edge.

Learned the basics of the CNC router from Greg Rae. Excellent course, highly recommended. MakerLabs is a great space for the beginner to advanced woodworker. If you’re a beginner, there are staff on hand like Blu to help you out.

Couldn't be happier with the service and item they made for me. I needed a custom part which they were able to 3D print. Great communication and very reasonable price for both the drawing and printing of the product. Would highly recommend.

I recently was tasked with making a keep safe gift for the grade 7 class my daughter is going to auction off at the school fundraiser. I made a nice end grain cutting board. The challenge was to get the kids actual signatures on the side of the board. The board was 19" by13". I called around the city and no one had a machine that could laser on the side of the board because of the size. After about 15 calls looking for a solution I came across Jordan at Maker Labs. Not only did he have a machine big enough to laser the sides but he was able to do the as well! He also directed us on how to get the signatures so the could be transferred easily The work was completed flawlessly and faster than they said. The price was very fair and the quality of work was outstanding.. I will be working with these guys a lot moving forward.
