Great location...but this hotel needs some serious updates. None of the window had screens, there were actually spaces between the window and the sill so we killed quite a few bugs. The window coverings were lace with no privacy blinds. The hall carpet was very soiled. There is so much potential for this hotel, but it needs a lot of work. The restaurant was closed on the days we were there. Who does that?

We try to make this a yearly summer stop as it was one of our favorite historical hotels and the view is spectacular. This year extremely disappointed the room smelt like body oder, the carpet is stained and filthy, pubic jar in toilet seat. Not the amazing, wonderful place it was.

At the front door of the Leland was a gross overflowing garbage can, which should have been our tipoff not to stay there. Then, we got bumped from a first floor room to a 3rd floor, which meant we had to lug all our stuff up 3 flights of stairs. We are in our mid-seventies and it|was quite difficult. The room was very disappointing, looking out a filthy window to a parking lot littered with cans and shopping carts. No lake view for us! The room smelled musty and there was mold growing around the bathtub. Yuck! I wouldn’t even wash my dog in it. We were woken up at 5:45 with the sun blasting through the toilet-paper thin rag of a curtain. Never again!

I love the heritage of the hotel. The staff down at the pub Angela, Erin and Cindy-Lou are genuine hosts that make you feel comfortable every minute of your stay. The food and pub are great and the patio is awesome. My go-to home away from home

This hotel is located right on the lake with beautiful views but there is nothing else nice about this place. It is run down, smelly, bedding look to be from the 80's that haven't been changed since then, carpets with stains all over them, walls that had patches that had never been painted in years. The pillows smelled like someone else's head with hair left on them and worst of all at 1 am in the morning right before going to bed we discovered 2 fat juicy bed bugs. The most uncomfortable sleep I we had in a long time. They did refund us the full amount with no hesitation but come on. I would rather sleep on the beach or the street next time than there.

Can recommend the nachos. Can't recommend the rooms. Thankfully we had our own bedding and towels(I could see through the ones provided lol). Tho it makes sense they did have a sign for hiring cleaners. The young lady who seemed to be running everything by herself was awesome. Maybe the owners need to step up their game and help their business

For a really old hotel, it is in fantastic shape. Room was small but clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was compact but clean. The hotel has a restaurant/bar and there was even live music on new years day evening. They weren't serving a full menu but we were still able to eat. Would stay again.

We found this gem of a hotel by accident. The cabin we reserved canceled on us last minute and we had our dog. Special thanks to Erin for booking us in and greeting us and our puppy with such a warm welcome! The bar and lounge were great and filled full of amazing people. The rooms were cozy and cute (we did not realize its the oldest hotel in BC) Shout out to all the wonderful locals we met including Constable Mike! Thanks for being so cool and welcoming. You all have restored our faith that decent people still exist. Awesome trip all around, will stay there again!
