Always a treat going to the bakery! It smells amazing just walking in and there are so many delicious options to choose from between buns, breads, sweets and deli meats. Fresh lunch options are available as well. Super cool being able to see into the back where all the baking magic happens.

The food is not only fair priced it's quite good and the people are so kind and helpful and generous! One of the tags was a little loose on my bagel bag and they fell unto the floor. Now I was picking them up and about to leave but they said no you aren't gonna do that and gave me a free bag because it spilt! Such kind people and great shop! It's a must visit at least 1 time but you'll end up going there more after 1 visit

Thursday August 29. PNothing beats the smell of baking bread. Got a loaf of cheese bread which was delicious and butter tarts which were okay but too much pastry for my liking. One staff member in store was nice. Cashier just wanted to cash you out and move on to the next. No smile, please, thank you and no good bye.

Brie and Jeff are amazing, as well as all the staff I have met there! Thank you for running such a fine oiled machine at Kawartha Bakery! I literally drive 35 mins out of my way to only buy all my bread and baked goods here!

UNSANITARY FOOD HANDLING.....Tuesday July 16 @ 3:15 pm, I approach the back work area and asked this male student if someone could slice the loaf of bread that I purchased as he was sweeping the floor. He uses the same "bare hands" that held the broom to remove the loaf of bread from the bag, slice it, then same "bare hands" to place the sliced loaf into a plastic bag. As I stood in line watching this guy continue to roll up a floor mat, then walk behind the deli counter, never washing his hands starting to help out serving customers selling donuts etc., same bare, unwashed hands with no gloves....You will need a superior immune system when consuming those food products!

Wow, I didn't know our local bakery had a new special ingredient: 'Cockroach Crunch'! ? I guess they wanted to add a little extra protein to our lives. Unfortunately, it's not what I had in mind when ordering fresh baked goods. On the bright side, they've just raised the bar on 'surprise' fillings. If you're into that kind of thrill, this bakery's for you.
