After volunteering for a few years helping with the Grandmothers for Grandmothers and this year after donating a huge amount of fabric (4 large garbage bags full of all quilting cotton this year and a huge bag full of yarn) I received an text telling me not to attend or I will be publicly removed for the event..
Why anyones asks, because I had issues receiving an item back that I lent to G4G, and to this day I still haven’t received it back.
But to avoid drama I said a few choice words to family and friends about it and let it go.. but after not talking to this said person, I received a text out of the blue from them.

This post is not to talk negatively about the GMG fundraiser, it’s to show awareness about the person running/organizing it.

Since said person has tried to continuously bash my name for no reason and yes people do tell me what you are saying, I still haven’t said or posted anything about it till today. I left your name out and omitted saying anything rude/disrespectful because Karma will handle it as I choose not to.

Had blanket quilted at Kate’s and they did a beautiful job. They are always there for you to help choose fabric. They have a beautiful collection of fabrics. I highly recommend this Quiltery for great fabric and to get your blankets quilted.

What a hidden gem! I was traveling nearby from Salem, MA and was in heaven the moment I walked in the doors. Kate and staff were wonderful--friendly, knowledgeable, and no pressure. I can't wait to visit again--though EVERYTHING is online which is awesome for those who don't live nearby. A definite must-visit for anyone that needs fabric!!!!

Kates is a favourite quilt store of mine. They have great service, a wide variety of fabrics, notions and bag making supplies and offer wonderful classes. A destination for all quilters.
