Heritage Hotel - Norman Wells, Northwest Territories

So glad we stayed at the Heritage during our weekend layover in Norman Wells! It was so quiet and cozy. We were able to book a last minute reservation and the desk staff arranged for our check in even after the desk closed at 5 pm. The rooms were very clean, beds super comfy and had all the essentials. The restaurant was closed during our stay but they provided grab and go breakfast options and hot coffee every morning. The location is great, 1 km to the airport and 1 km to the grocery stores, right in front of the beach. The owner was kind enough to drive us to the airport this morning as well. Highly recommend staying here!

Hotel is fine, generally, but the owner is a jack wagon. My clothes smelled like campfire smoke from last night and I was accused of smoking in the room. Which I did not. So my room was locked on me when I was out this morning, key card de-activated. Great hospitality. Be very careful if you choose to stay there. They are quick to say the cleaning fees are $500.

Great hotel for the great North town. Very comfortable beds, quiet rooms. Full sized shower everything you need in a hotel accommodations. Free wifi. Restaurant not open but heard it’s good when it’s open. No quamms with this hotel. Great place!

Stay away from this hotel! They promised an airport pick up and nobody picked me up. Norman Wells does not have a taxi service and I arrived at night. Terrifying! I am a woman travelling alone. When discussed with the manager I was told to “get over it.” Bad things happened to him too.
No apology, only that the driver forgot!
Horrible experience. Run don’t walk away from these horrible people. I also paid $400 per night for the pleasure. Stay away!!!!!

Still no restaurant and bar, its seems they are unwilling to offer a second place to eat and or drink in this town inconveniencing guests in my opinion.

The restaurant in the hotel was short staffed during my visit, so all orders were takeout with your room being called when it was ready. I had the beef dip for dinner and it was a solid meal. For breakfast they do a continental with wraps out of a fridge.

The manager was also very nice giving me and the people I travel with rides to and from the hotel and airport

Room itself is nice and has everything you expect. However, the walls, floors and ceilings do not block noise well so you can easily hear other people and they can easily hear you.

I would have given it 5 stars but the restaurant had limited service due to no staff. But you can walk 15 minutes if you are really hungry. Rooms were clean and up-to-date. Great location between the airport and downtown. Everything is within walking distance.

Great accommodation in Norman Wells. Previous photos don't do this place justice. Very clean and quiet hotel. It is a bit dated, but nothing wrong with that when everything works. Wifi was fast enough to work from there. The restaurant food was served in to-go boxes only. No complaints about my stay here. Fully recommended.
