This place could be amazing! They have the best all axle motor on the market and I totally love that part of the company! However, their customer service is not meeting up to standards, they are hard to contact and they do respond to emails, although it takes a while. The reason for the one star, the phase runner that they use is less than ideal, the first one started randomly running my wheel backwards or not working at all. We did warranty for that, and the second one We decided to waterproof better on our own and put some beads of caulk around the openings to ensure waterproof, well it too started to act up after a couple months of using it every time you drove it in the rain . I felt it was a bother to them, so I tried to work on it myself by letting it sit for a couple days and using an hairdryer to heat it up and dry it out and then it would work again. Finally, I was fed up and sent it in for warranty, but they won’t cover it despite the fact that it didn’t work well from the start. So they sold me a new one for 20% off, which was still super expensive considering they only pay 65 or 70 bucks for it and still made a bunch of money on it! So I will keep using their motor and equipment, but just a warning to anyone out there, their service and #Warranty is unpredictable and sucks! And then they tell me that these things are super durable and waterproof when I firsthand know they are not.

Amazing products and a great company. We bought this bike second hand years ago and started having some issues with the motor that we couldn't troubleshoot. Grin was patient and generous - even though the e-bike kit is many years old/well beyond a warranty, they got us back on the road. Our Grin kit has enabled us to commute our two kids without a car in all kinds of whether and up steep terrain for years. The kit we have is built to last and the company stands by its products.

I bought an R2R e-bike conversion kit (approx. $3k CAD) and have had a terrible experience thus far. I was able to ride for about 70km before the wheel sheared off and I crashed and injured myself.

I contacted the customer support who suggested installing more reinforcements that they sold. After doing just that to fix the bike, I was only able to ride for about 1km before the same issues happened, the wheel sheared off and I crashed again. I contacted customer service who tried to diagnose the issue. I pointed out how their instruction manual was in fact wrong and the parts were installed backwards when following the manual. After this, they have ghosted me.

Looks elsewhere for e-bike parts, every part of my experience with Grin has been terrible so far.

Cannot say enough good things about the company and their products.
The LiGo batteries and motors are a dream come true. Yes, have flown with (4) batteries in carryon - no problems *ever*.
All staff at the company have been extremely helpful and always ready to support special bike fit/installation needs and diagnose potential problems.

Ordered a parallel battery harness, order was processed lightening fast and was already at my door by the time I got of my computer. Ok maybe not that fast , but overnight to Langley! Exceptional service from Grin. Thank you so much. I love doing business with a local company also and clearly they deserve the business.

Excellent company. I had issues with customs as well as some of the install, and the company was responsive and very helpful the whole way through. The RH212 kit itself is itself amazing - smooth as silk, silent, and crazy amounts of power and regenerative braking. It even pushed my cargo bike up a 22% grade climb at 15 MPH, which is phenomenal for a direct drive motor!

Without the existent of this company, a lot of ebike conversions wouldn't be possible or as safe as they are. I appreciate this company because they make a lot of great stuff and know what they are doing with ebike conversions.
