Amazing place to work. Stresses no wasting of customer product. Attention to detail at every stage to create quality product. Clean everything after each use to ensure food safety. Considerate ownership that looks after workers. Good at training.

I've gone with Friesen's for over 17 years now, sometimes having them process my own steers and other times just buying what they had "on the rack". They have very reasonable prices. I've always been completely satisfied.

One of the things I really like is the opportunity to walk through the cut list with the technician and get exactly what I want, even if it wasn't a common request, i.e. tallow, organs, skirt meat, etc. Also, they're good at estimating how long it will take and having it wrapped well and ready for pickup in sturdy boxes (I usually get a whole or half cow).

The last few years they've branched out and have freezers in the foyer filled with various popular cuts so that you don't have to buy a whole animal in order to get good quality meat from them.

Another thing I like is that they're not showing. They just quietly, politely and professionally get the job done. To me it means I'm not paying for a big showroom and fancy company vehicles or things like that.

I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We tried Friesen's for the first time.

Picked up a package of garlic sausage and just cooked it up tonight.

It was delicious, and a hit with the whole family! To top it off, the pricing was very reasonable.

We will definitely be stopping by regularly to try their other products!

Purchased half a cow, basic cuts available. For 5K, was hoping for more finessed butchering of finer cuts - denver steaks, skirts etc. Almost all of the fun butcher's cuts seemed to have become ground beef for stir fry strips. That being said, it makes really good burgers.

Will likely be more upfront about expectations for the cuts in the future. Possibly means more $$$.

We had purchased a beef from a local 4H event in 2019, and the processing was done at Friesens Meat. It was the first time experiencing fresh meat, steak, roast, burger. Wow what a difference from what we get at the store.
The 4H group did an amazing job of raising this animal, and Friesens Meat did a great job of processing it.

We got a beef done this fall and friesen meats did a fantastic job! I decided to get all beef hot dogs done and wish I would've gotten more! Highly recommend!
