What an experience I had with the bakery team at the Shelburne, ON Foodland location.

I went in a week earlier to preorder a cake for my son’s birthday and the ordering was so smooth, quick and easy.

Coming to the day of pick up as I seen the staff bring the cake forward I was blown away by the creativity. I had let the staff know that it was 90’s theme and just to have some colours to go with it as I had toppers to add. LET ME TELL YOU!!!! They did a phenomenal job: and I can tell they had fun as I left creativity up to them. It was way more than I had expected, especially coming from a “grocery store bakery”. I bake custom cakes full time and currently 7 months pregnant and was the only reason I went to them and it’s changed my mind. It was such a relief to relax a little.

A huge thank you to the team and I do look forward ordering again thru them.

Very poorly managed store with low quality selection of fresh meat fruit and vegetables. The quality of the fresh produce would be considered 3rd or even 4th tier. Over priced on average by 15% and 20% over long weekends and holidays.
Cashiers no longer or have never been trained how to properly pack a bag without contamination of meats/fish with bread or fruits.
Its very disappointing that small town greed is so prevalent with this location.
Stores like this take advantage of being the only location to shop at. No frills is cheaper but no real meat options. The town need to bring a Food basics or Metro to town.

Wonderful staff, clean store and good selection of local produce and dairy. Thankful to have this store so close to home

I have to give this new Location a low score, As I walked in I see a pile of Packaged vegetables thrown on the floor probably because it's been expired but they could have put it in a buggy so that it looks neater as there restocking & customers can get around.
The cooked food department: The lasagna looked horrible, looked like somebody made it from home, also as l was passing, watched a staff pick up lose Macaroni on the counter beside the macaroni tray & put back into the tray, thank god
she was wearing gloves, me Personally would have put it in the garbage. Otherwise I found the rest of store to be neat, clean,tidy & will stocked.
Hopefully when l go back l can change the star rating.

I generally find myself going to the Nofrills across the street for much cheaper prices however, when I do come to this Foodland location I usually don’t find myself having many complaints and/or issues. Today however, next to the produce I found a plastic container filled with vinegar and dead fruit flies, I understand this was put out as a trap for the flies but this seems extremely unhygienic. Surely there has to be a better way of going about this right? If I’m in the minority thinking here I completely understand, maybe I’m wrong but this seems nasty.

Multiple times at this location I have found that the bread and other bakery items being sold have no ingredients listed. Anyone who has ears & eyes- knows that no food is suppose to sold without ingredients listed. That against food regulations.

With the testing of bugs in our food as there is a huge bug factory in London ON- I would not trust this what so ever!

I phoned the store about this & asked for the manager. They keep telling me the manager is not there & that they don't know anything about that.

So there's no accountability

I will continue to update this review as I find products without the ingredients listed from their store.

Just stopped in at this food land and was looking for a quick lunch. Just wanted to say. WHOEVER MADE THE SUSHI BOWLS DESERVES A $8 RAISE!!!! That was the most amazing bento sushi I have ever had and I am planning on going back 100%. Shout out to that man who made it. You deserve to have your pillow always be cold on hot summer nights.
