Most expensive grocery store around. They often don't have flyer products in stock. A few weeks ago, they had quality street chocolates on sale for $13.99 but were sold out. I was informed that they couldn't give me a rain cheque because they " weren't getting any more". I was in there yesterday and they had a big display priced at $24.49. That is THE MOST EXPENSIVE PRICE I have seen this year. I feel like they only want to sell products at full price. Their "family packs" are only big enough for a family of 2 and have a limit of 2 packages per customer. (I'm referring to pork chops on sale for $1.99 a pound they had 4 chops per package. Other stores offer 6+ chops per family pack)
Shopping local sure does matter; you have to go without!

I enjoy the selection of meat and produce from this location as it seems to be above average here, compared to other small-town Foodland locations. It is a medium-sized location with everything you might need on a daily basis. Some things may be a little better priced at No Frills down the road but their produce is not of the same quality. I also like the hot meal options like rotisserie chicken, wedges, ribs, etc. The staff has always been friendly so I like dropping in when I'm in Glencoe.

Just visited this store this morning and whilst there is a more then ample selection of pretty much everything, the staff there leave a lot to be desired, except for the one younger gentleman working in the meat department with the tattoos, he was amazing and we give him 10 stars. The rest of the staff was rude and it didn't seem like anyone really cared. There was one til open with about 8 people in the lineup before the cashier called for back up. Another staff member was doing her shopping with a basket and judging by the looks she gave my husband and I she was not too happy where we had our shopping cart and instead of bringing it to our attention (our backs were towards her as we were at the deli counter), or going around the shopping cart she stood there gave me a very rude look, I apologised (even though I really shouldn't have), she didn't acknowledge except with another very dirty look. Really the staff really need to learn customer service skills as they are severely lacking them.

I was visiting family in the area and we stopped in for a few groceries. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the prices are outrageous 😕. There was a $2 difference on a 12 pack of iced tea compared to the store down the road. Frozen burgers and buns left me in sticker shock as well. I guess it's nice that they are there in case of an emergency but I certainly wouldn't want this Foodland as my regular grocery store

I really don't understand all the higher reviews others have assessed over 1 or 2 positives but considering they are are country bumpkins and there are no other grocers in these *Foodland* towns one could say without lying that they're the best and worst at the same time. Really though... they're just convenience stores with a wee meat cooler...

This store is small it's ok for a small town. Prices are high like every place else. Of the 3 things i went in for, they didn't carry them. I asked the girl at the deli what was in something she didn't know, and asked someone else....she didn't know either. The 1 thing that really bothered me i asked for 2 types of ice cream and was told they didn't carry them because they were too expensive! Kinda weird. It's a grocery store looks like all other grocery stores, nothing outstanding.
