A fantastic place to dine in (though they provide take away service as well) ..Essence of Spice offers an authentic and delicious taste of India. Every dish was perfectly spiced and bursting with flavour. Owners are incredibly welcoming and their passion for food was evident. The staff were attentive, friendly, and provided exceptional service throughout our meal. From the warm welcome to the last bite, it was a flawless experience. This is a must-visit gem, and we will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended! Thank you for serving us with Love 👍🙏👌👌

Delicious Vegetarian Dinner!

Had an amazing vegetarian meal at Essenes of Spice. The paneer tikka masala and vegetable biryani were full of flavor, and the naan was fresh and soft. Great ambiance and friendly service. A perfect spot for tasty and satisfying vegetarian Indian food in Muskoka!

If you have ever tasted Indian food, you'll be really disappointed with their food. Not very welcoming lady who we met in store. Flavorless daal, chicken gravy wasn't cooked well, I could smell half cooked onion gravy in it. Lacha parantha was so hard, felt like papad. Garlic naan wasn't traditional naan (because they don't have tandoor) which tasted ok but they should tell their customer about it. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try Indian food. The name of restaurant doesn't go good with their food.

I had a great experience at this Indian restaurant. The food was tasty and full of real Indian flavors. Everything was fresh and well prepared.

A special mention to the lady— she welcomed us so warmly and made us feel very comfortable. The staff was kind, polite, and attentive throughout.

Overall, a lovely place with good food and caring service. Would definitely visit again!

This restaurant is managed by a fly - mother father and son who need to imbibe good customer service skills. We were a group of friends who wanted to enjoy good Indian food during lunchtime . The lady who manages both kitchen and dining area was so arrogant and rude that she offered dishes to make her life convenient and not what we wanted to try. Maybe she was stressed becoz of the work load but that doesn’t mean she releases them on customers who pay and not eat for free. Never again will I step into this restaurant again.

We arrived a little after lunch time.
Items Ordered:
- Palak Paneer: ordered the regular spice , it was bland , no flavours or taste. Probably would be better if you ordered really spicy.
- Goat Madras : was decent, the meat was cooked well, had good seasoning.
-Garlic naan and Butter nan: Not your typical nan, this was my absolute favourite. The bread was excellent.

Cons: they are extremely strict with food policy , they do not allow food from outside even if it's baby food. You will be bluntly told that it's not allowed which is not very accommodating in my opinion. The owners can do better.

The Goat Madras was amazing so as the Naan!! Service was wonderful as the staff was knowledge and be able to recommend the diahes based on your preferences.
One of the highlights was the dip for Samosas, the flavours were on top notch!!
Definitely will come back again!!!

So happy to have this lovely restaurant as one of the options in Gravenhurst. We did take out. The food was piping hot.
Everything was delicious. Perfectly spicy.
Even the rice has some lovely colour in it to make it extra appealing! (would love to have a cardamom pod or two it in for more flavour)
The menu has plenty of options.
Excited to go again to try more dishes!
