My camcorder wouldn’t charge, so I went to Electronic Analyst to see if they might be able to repair it. When I walked in, the man I spoke with told me right away that, unfortunately, they don’t fix camcorders. However, instead of leaving it at that, he asked me what the issue was. While I was explaining it to him the owner, Theresa, came out from the back. She also stated they couldn’t repair camcorders, but offered to make a phone call to another company that she figured would be able to help me. Once she was done on the phone, we started talking about my camcorder again, and I shared that I thought the issue might simply be the charging cord. Theresa went into one of her closets and produced her own camcorder, which was the same brand name as mine. She allowed me to try her charging cord, just to troubleshoot and see if that was the issue. Her cord worked! I jokingly said to her, “You’re going to sell me this cord, right?” And she told me, “I think I have a second one. If I do, you can have that one.” Sure enough, she had a second cord and it worked perfectly. Theresa saved me a lot of money and running around, trying to get my camcorder to work. While they weren’t the ones to do the repairs, they went above and beyond with their customer service. If I ever do need repairs, I will definitely go to Electronic Analyst.

I came in here to have 3 wires soldered on a modern headlamp. It was a simple job for a skilled person, but too difficult for me to do alone (I tried). They did a great job. But I got the sense that the amount I paid for the repair wasn’t enough for them to make money. I tried to pay more but they declined. I’m not sure I’d go back, sadly it’s significantly cheaper to replace things these days than repair them. Instead my money will go towards buying quality items that are less likely to need repair.

Oct 11 2024. Dropped off my Yam a4a amp. In protecting mode It’s Dec 23 2024. They are still refusing to give me an answer or call me back with any answers about my Yamaha A 4 A receiver Protection mode Isn’t it just a reset and an update

If this could be zero stars, it would be, let me tell you a little story.

There’s not a lot of repair shops in town, so these guys have cornered the market. Unfortunately for me And my 13 year old musician daughter It was a horrible experience!

First started with me driving from South Cooking Lake to Edmonton to bring a Peavy SP2 PA speaker to be looked at that was donated from a friend of mine to help get my daughter started with her drums.

When I brought it there, they diagnosed that the voice coil was Broken and they could repair it for me for $157.50 taxes included.

I trust that would work and We would get a working speaker back, I got a call about a week later, letting me know that the voice coil could not be repaired and I would have to purchase a new speaker.

I understand things happen, so I agreed to buy a new speaker even though they told me they could repair the one I brought. The new speaker arrived, and I called them to ask if I should just pick it up and install it myself and they told me no they would like to install it and test it before it leaves That was included in my $157.50

When I arrived with the new to have it installed, the technician who is doing the work seemed like he was a little upset on the short timeline The front had agreed to. With a comment like did you look at my bench?

Probably shouldn’t argue like that in front of customers, so I said I had to go run an errand so I would leave for approximately a half an hour to give them a little space and time

When I returned, the technician was smoking out front of the store, I asked him if he remembered to screw the Copper coil piece that was dangling back to the board and he said he did not.

So, as he was taking apart, the horn of the speaker, I saw inside that nothing was plugged in and the part I was asking about was completely missing, all he kept saying oh it’s fine it’s fine I will fix it as he was struggling to try to plug it in without removing the speaker again.

I responded no it is not fine, I have driven back-and-forth from South Cook Lake to have you guys do no repair, you slapped the speaker back in the cabinet without even plugging it in or testing it mind you, That is definitely not fine that you were going to send me home missing parts and with an untested speaker, oh we Will refund you your money says!

It took them about 10 minutes just to find the missing part which you will see in the picture on the receipt, The speaker never would’ve worked without it, You also notice in the picture that they obviously dropped it because the bracket is bent now. So here’s wondering if it’s even gonna work when I put it all back together myself?

It’s funny how places who screw up jump straight to oh we will refund you your money like it lets them off the hook.

The way I look at it I’m out $60 in fuel and about four hours of my time for something I could’ve done in my garage with my own tools in about 20 minutes. I guess that makes it my fault for trusting a business to do with they are there to do.

How these guys keep any customers is beyond me, I understand the market is very small for electronic repair, but do yourself a favour and look a little further as you guys do not want to go through what I just did.

I hope this helps someone!

If they were part of the Better Business Bureau, I would report them there as well Absolute scam

I used to love these guys, unfortunately they have gone way down hill . Flase promises .
I'm a tech who is to bring every screen I needed repaired here but last 3 in a row they said they could fix gave me a huge yes sir don't worry we will go above an beyond only to wait 3 weeks for a no we can't fix it result . That's 3 deposits in a row I've lost . I'm really disappointed to have to write this but I hope it saves the next guy some money. Gerry and Teresa are great people but the help they have needs to be better. Sorry guys enough is enough

Great place for electronics, especially older ones! Theresa and the crew did a great job repairing and refurbishing my old receiver. They found original parts where they could which I really appreciate.

Nice staff.. but I was told a week or 2 to fix my sounds system. I called them after 3 weeks and was told by the same guy that took my system in and told me a week or 2. This time told me they are 3 months behind and nobody has even looked at it. I don't have a problem waiting just don't tell someone a week or 2 if it's not going to be a week or 2..

If you are that far behind on work hire new people. You obviously have enough work for everyone to be busy and keep customers happy. In the end if it wasn't warranty work I probably would find a different place to bring it.

They claim they do a lot of repair, but you can't bring in any circiut board to be tested or repaired. I just need to swap out a capacitor on the board. They won't even sell a capacitor so I can do the work myself. They suggested I try Electronic Connections for the part.
