We approached East Lake Welding with a ski chair bench project with no idea what to expect. We had them take our old ski chair to repair some broken slats, fabricate the base and grip and then finish by powder coating. We were very impressed with all the staff from our first consultation at the shop. Andrew was absolutely amazing!! He was professional with great communication and patient with us throughout the process. The turnaround time was ridiculously fast and we were extremely happy with the final project. We have nothing to compare this to but feel the cost was very fair for the work they did. We would like to send a huge thank you to everyone involved in our bench. We absolutely love it!!

I had four wheels powder coated by Eastlake and the results were poor. The paint on all four wheels is full of cracks and indicative of poor prep work.

I contacted Eastlake three times to follow up and they never responded.

Skip this business and use someone like Powderworks instead. Not impressed with the quality of work or customer service at Eastlake.

Hank, Kevin, and team are top notch people. Appreciate their aluminum welding skills, sheet metal, and aluminum routing capabilities. We have not used them for powder coating yet but have experienced nothing but friendly service, skilled craftsmanship, and a dedication to quality on the metal working side.

Absolutely fantastic! Had a motorcycle frame blasted and coated at East Lake. Quick turnaround, they did an amazing job, and great pricing! Will definitely be going back to them for all my projects! Couldn't be happier with their workmanship!!!!

I used to get all our powder coating done here for our business, however the last 2 times the price has jumped... not by a little bit but by over double in price, I couldn’t justify the cost when it comes to not being done for 2 weeks or more. I dropped off parts yesterday, got a ridiculous quote and picked up my parts this morning.
They have lost my business and I won’t be telling anyone to go get powder coating done here. I also have had friends go here or the welding shop in the past and have gotten outrageous quotes.
You had a very loyal customer, that you unfortunately lost.

I had a small rush welding job that i needed done, I phoned ahead to see if they could do it and they said yes. I drove from out of town and dropped it off and came back 2.5 hours later and it wasn't done. I called the following morning and now they said they wouldn't get to it for a week. I picked it up and took it to another welder, and got it done right away while i waited. These people lied to me and cost me a day on an important job. I wish they would have said that they couldn't do it instead of wasting my time. Don't recommend.

Took a project in for powder coating, as I was given a better quote than several other shops. I was told 7-10 days for completion. After 10 days I called, and was given an excuse as to why they hadn't started yet, but would get to it right away. After 10 days, called again, different excuse this time, hadn't started yet, they'll get to it right away. This went on for 2 months before I had enough and picked up my now completely rusty project. Don't waste your time with this place.

This business does not stand behind their work.
I took an appliance dolly here to weld a broken handle back on.
(Jan 13, 2021 / Invoice number 11887) Was told no problem.
The first time it was used the handle snapped clean off, causing a refrigerator to fall back onto my buddy. When I explained this to Andrew the shop manager he said, and I quote, "I don't really care about that." Then the excuses started, hard to weld old aluminium, maybe it's an alloy that isn't compatable with what we are welding with. Should this not have been mentioned the first time if it is true?
No offer of a refund, no offer to fix it for free. I was told I would have to pay again to fix it and now they say there is no guarantee the welding will hold.
I tapped the weld with the broken off handle right in front of him and pieces broke off, incredibly brittle. He didn't care, he just stood there waiting for me to leave.
