New to the world of sewing. Visited Dressew for the first time. ? Thank you to the blue or green shoulder length hair woman downstairs who was very friendly and warm hearted.

After pottering about up and down the aisle searching for a specific item, I decided to ask a member of staff for help. I felt awkward asking to begin with because I barely knew how to describe what I was looking for but the member of staff made me feel completely at ease. I was looking for a gauge and didn’t know what it was called but to my relief she quickly realized what I was looking for and where, ?☺️ we had a laugh about it too as she walked me over to where it would be found. It wasn’t in stock but I found fabric and other random bits that I needed for my project.

All in all, I really enjoyed browsing through the store for the supplies. This shop has an excellent selection of fabric, notions, and all sorts. Love the retro vibe of the store! It has a unique atmosphere that is difficult to replace and I’m sad to hear that in the near future at some point it will be closing permanently. Some places are central to the neighbourhood and community, and this is one of those places.

This is my absolute favorite go to place for everything fabric and notions and crafting shopping. It also has a very decent Halloween costume accessory section. I have yet to find another place with as much selection or as friendly and knowledgeable staff as this place as far as my fabric shopping goes, and the day that this closes down will be a very sad day.

It is a much, much better place to get material for your arts and crafts projects. I just needed ONE zipper for a coin purse that I made using potato chip bags (see pictures), and ended up leaving the store with a little more than I anticipated to buy! I really love this store because they have so many choices to pick from, and I LOVED the zipper section. It is so amazing! I can't wait to start my next coun purse. If you didn't do any arts and crafts before you went inside the store, you most likely will after you leave the store. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the staff are just extra helpful, super friendly. I experienced impeccable customer service. I would definitely go back just to get some free smiles! Heck yeah! For sure, I will need other little things that I didn't have time to look at, such as textiles, and much more! This is a twi floor store. Dressew is like a candy store for me! ?That's it for now!! ?

Wonderful assortment of Halloween cottons!
The staff are very helpful. They have fast and friendly cutters, and can help you maneuver through the two levels to find exactly what you need.
Online orders are very easy to place and pickup. The staff personally reach out if an order will take more time from when it’s placed, and if so, are accommodating if you want to cancel the order.
I love this place! I’ve been going since I was 14, and will continue to shop here.

One employee was very helpful!! (I think their name was bells) but their manager kept pulling them away for other jobs! We came back to them numerous times and they knew the store like the back of their hand!

Lots of good fabrics, and other things like yarn, joinery, buttons, buckles. The prices are pretty decent so you'll definitely end up buying more than you intend to. Love how they have a huge variety for everything.
