Everyone at Dowell is wonderful! When I call, I always get prompt service and I'm offer various options to work within my schedule. We have been lucky to have Jenny out to fix things for us. We appreciate her knowledge and that she explains all of the options to us clearly. Then when things need fixing, it is done right away unless a part needs to be ordered. Once that's in, it's taken care of quickly!

Nice people. Good job done. Communication could be slightly better, but in all fairness, the techs phone wasn’t working properly the first time he came out. All fixed by the time our parts arrived. Got notified they were en route. Washing Machine fixed; Carson was polite and got right to the job. Would definitely use Dowell again!

The Dowell team were terrific. They answered my call quickly & friendly. They took the model number of my fridge so they could come prepared with parts - no second trip.
They came the very next day! I would highly recommend them for all your repairs!! I actually put their magnet business card on the side of my fridge door - so when I open it - it’s in plain view.

Update: No longer disappointed, I got the call this morning and they are going to get my dishwasher replaced. The guy who originally came was great, I think it was a miss communication and will take some responsibility for not fully understanding what he was saying. In business things go wrong, what really matters is how people fix it. These guys are highly recommended for any work, I will be calling them again. Thanks for fixing this!

Disappointing Experience – Be Very Clear Upfront

I booked online to have my dishwasher replaced ($300). When the tech arrived, he suggested it might just be clogged and offered to try fixing it, saying if it still needed replacing, a credit would be applied. What I didn’t realize was that he meant only if the pump was replaced, not the whole dishwasher.

Three days later I left for vacation, came back, and the dishwasher still doesn’t work. When I called to book the replacement as originally ordered, I was told there was no credit unless it was for a pump replacement.

So, I paid $300 for 30–40 minutes of work with no resolution, no credit, and no customer concession offered. When I said I’d take my business elsewhere, the reply was simply “okay.”

I had planned to hire them for more plumbing work in my home, but I’m glad I learned this lesson now—it only cost me $300 instead of thousands as I need all new toilets and both kitchens need new sinks. Be very clear about exactly what you want before they start.

Jessica in the office provided great service setting up the appointment. The repairman arrived, identified the problem and proceeded to fix it. Only issue was that he spent the whole time talking on the phone while doing the repair. Part of the call was in relation to installation of a new pump for the washer but to spend the whole time on the phone having a great chat with a fellow technician was definitely unwarranted! I wasn’t happy with paying for his time chatting.
