Discovery Foods, you seem to be, no you ARE that rough diamond found in the 'wilderness' between Courtenay and Campbell River. Your selection of foods is astounding and items are at a fair price.
NEVER close down . . . . travelling to the closest city/town is truly not worth my time or the fuel cost.

All the teens working here over the August long we're super kind. Prices are as u wld expect in a small town. But, and there's a HuGE BUT. They had O'doughs Gluten free products!! And the prices were NOT jacked. thank you thank u!! This was hugely appreciated!!

If I could give this no stars I would. Part of a complex with a liquor store, cafe, pharmasave etc. NO PUBLIC WASHROOM!! I was directed to use an outhouse that was absolutely the most disgusting facility I've ever been in. So these businesses are willing to take your money but not provide you with the human decency of clean washroom facility. Don't even bother stopping here. If they treat you like a dog, they don't deserve your money.

I see so many reviews here saying their prices are high… It’s unfair to expect super cheap, big chain store prices at local regular grocery stores. They probably go through a middleman to get the items (extra fee) and obviously can’t buy 5000 loaves of bread at a time (much smaller discounts).

To me the prices seem more than fair, if not cheaper than I’d expect. I don’t mind spending a few more bucks to support a local store that’s doing their best

I like to support this local store and I'm never disappointed with the variety of goods. Today my main purchase was the family pack split chicken wings which are from Island Farmhouse in Cowichan Bay. Good price!
