My buddy and I decided to stop by and check out the bee farm and were overwhelmed by the hospitality and professionalism of the staff! Special thanks to Mistie and Josh for taking us around and showing us their facilities. It was fun and exciting to see the bees up close and personal!!!

Attended the beeswax candle mold making class this past Saturday/Sunday. It was an amazing fun learning experience. Dana helped us create custom candle molds and was open sharing her experience and expertise with us. Dana added so much value, I will certainly be looking for more opportunities to attend these fun hands on learning experiences! This is such a feel good and welcoming business! You feel like family on your first visit. And the retail store is so full of high quality and interesting honey/bee related food and gift items! Thank you Dancing Bee, thank you Dana!

Came here for the first time as we just moved into the area and we were not greeted when we walked in and felt like we weren't welcome. Store was cute and has a great selection but no one said a word to us as we walked around. I walked up to put some things up at cash and again, not a word. I bought some honey sticks and it was when I looked at the receipt that I saw it was 5 for $5...I purchased 6 but would have bought 10. Not a big deal but like why not say anything at cash when we were getting them? Wanted to get ice cream, wanted to learn about the bees, get some education on all the different honeys but did not get a good vibe from the girl working as she didn't say a thing to us so we only bought a couple of things and left. Read good reviews so am a little shocked at this experience. Unfortunately will not be returning as we didn't feel welcome.

Had this place on my bucket list when I came to Port Hope. A beautiful business with lots of wonderful things to buy made out of honey and beeswax. Jennifer was very helpful and she recommended a unique flavour of honey called “birthday cake”, it taste delicious. I also got a bar of soap.
Next time I come back, I’m gonna do the beekeeping course. Highly recommend for anybody who loves bees 🐝🐝🐝

I went to hang and support a friend who wanted to have a cool experience with bees. We signed up for the Dancing bee’s beginner workshop which started at 1:30pm . The description on the website said hands on experience and interactive.HOWEVER the actual facing of the bees is kept at the very end. We sat through a 4! Hours straight non stop talking seminar. With NO breaks.

Fair, there are people who are truly interested in bee keeping and wanting to know the information they need as first time purchasers of bees and the equipment needed, and what it takes to successfully have beehives. I was understanding of this and expected some discussion points maybe an hour or hour and a half . But a whole 4 hours of the person talking straight at you? Really… if you’re looking to come hang out w the bees this place isn’t it unless you have the absolute patience of a saint to sit through it all. Or maybe just stick to the basic bee keeping work shop, don’t know if it’s 4.5 hours long or not 🤷‍♀️, that’s about 85$ before taxes whereas the beginner is 110$ before hst. Please indicate the time duration on your website for how long one can expect to sit in for.

I bought a few nucs from dancing bee along with some other supplies. I had a small issue with something and Dana rectified the problem right away and was very generous!
Got the pleasure of meeting Josh and he was a very nice, knowledgeable guy!
I definitely recommend dancing bee for anything you need involving bees!

Absolutely Unprofessional – Don’t Waste Your Time

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at Dancing Bee Equipment. The staff at this location are shockingly unprofessional.

There was an older man with glasses who was incredibly rude and dismissive. He gave off a very unpleasant attitude —at one point, I even overheard him speaking harshly and rudely to other staff in front of customers. He spent more time chatting (or flirting?) with a female employee than doing his actual job!

The women working there didn’t help the store’s image either. They were wearing cutoff jean shorts and tank tops, completely inappropriate attire for a business that wants to be taken seriously. It felt more like walking into a backyard hangout than a retail store.

In the Bee Works section, things weren’t any better. Staff were too busy having personal conversations then to bother helping customers. A blonde girl working on the Monday i visited barely said a word to me and disappeared to the back for most of the time I was in the store. Zero professionalism, zero effort.

Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere!

Excellent quality and durability in Dancing Bee suits to meet any beekeepers needs from the hobbist beekeepers to the commercial beekeeper.
The Velcro straps provide extra protection and peace of mind when the hive is hot.
Feeling confident, comfortable and safe is so very important.
