I recently had the pleasure of working with Clima Design Technologies for my air conditioning needs, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the service was exceptional.
They helped me to find a contractor in my area to install an Innova 2.0 unit.

The quality of the products offered by them is outstanding. It is way quieter than any other AC unit I've ever seen. Also, not having an outdoor Condenser was a big plus for us, especially for the Strata approval.
Highly recommended, it was so worth the price.

Worse experience at an expensive cost.

Introduced by our condo strata so did not do any further research. Big mistake. Started with quick response, great marketing pitch and once George got our deposit, took 2 months to show up after 2 week promise. One day away from canceling and the nightmare began.

Installation spot selected by George and assistant. 1st unit leaked and did not cool off condo. Agreed to replace with 2nd unit again after constant delays. Unfortunately same results. We advised provider that we wanted full refund as per contract.

George suggested location of unit the problem and offered to move to different location in condo. Not an option for us due to distrust of provider, two faulty units, poor customer service. George only followed up after we threatened going to court.

George claimed needed permission for full refund from Italy where unit made. He confirmed full refund had been approved and would be provided and condo would be restored after removal of unit.

Process delayed again, many more threats of legal proceedings. This seemed to be the only way to get George to follow through.

Unit was removed and partial restoration of place altered to place the unit.

Then worked stopped and we filed in small claims court and obtained a judgment order ordering him to pay.

George advises us in writing he will pay and we have not seen one penny.

Please be forewarned if you choose to trust this provider.

Between improper installation and very poor service experience I would recommend you do not engage this company. Attempting to have my unit's leak fixed took a lot of insistence to have someone come to look at it again, and once they did come and try their fix, they were very quick to leave without confirming that the leak had been fixed. At my insistence, we tested it by adding small amounts of water via the condensation catchment and all of it leaked out into the base of the unit and then from there onto my floor and walls. The technician declared that they "had never seen anything like this before", promised to get a warranty replacement, and then left.
Getting any further response required me to consistently follow up with them, each time they would tell me that they were trying to progress things somehow, either that they had been delayed entering the replacement request, or that they had to wait for parts to arrive, or that they were quite busy, etc. Suffice to say, they never came back to actually replace or fix the unit and always had a ready excuse. Overall, an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience for me.

After all that, I decided to do some digging into the Innova 2.0 units themselves and found installation manuals from the manufacturer. The unit I have was not installed correctly - a drainage hose was never routed according to the manufacturer's instructions, so all the condensation built up inside could not be released while the unit was off. During normal operation, it is capable of releasing most of the condensation built up inside via the air vents. However, once the unit is turned off a valve opens to release any remaining water in the condensation tray. This becomes especially important during winter in Vancouver when it gets cold. The section where the condensation tray lives is fully exposed to the elements (shutter valves inside the vents were also omitted) and any water inside the tray will freeze during winter, expanding and likely damaging the tray. This is where my unit's leak was - a large crack in the base of the tray, so any condensation that was collected immediately drained into the base of the unit, and from there, out onto the wall and floor around the air conditioner.

The Innova 2.0 units themselves may be decent, but with Clima's negligence, you are likely to have a wonderful first summer of cool breezes, followed by a series of headaches once the first cold snap freezes your Clima-installed Innova and any condensation produced by the unit comes out into your house in an uncontrolled way.

We installed Innova heat pump air conditioners over a year ago , and We are so happy how quite they are and so efficient. I truly will suggest everyone installing those as we will never struggle again through the summer .

After months of researching air conditioners/heat pump we’ve learned that quiet and affordable ACs make most people the happiest—and we think the Innova 2.0 is the only solution for our condos in Vancouver, B.C . NO OUTDOOR UNIT! Super quiet and the most energy efficient product in HVAC industry .
We can control the temperature through an App. Highly recommend it.
