A total gem of a place: it was so much fun chatting with Mark and his passion and experience is clear. I felt completely comfortable and welcome as an amateur in film photography, which was a great experience. Very fair prices on cameras, and some interesting creative film options as well, I learned a lot and will be coming back for any camera needs in the future!

You must experience this place if you are into vintage film cameras. They have an amazing collection of, I think pretty much everything you could imagine, when it comes to vintage photography gear. I found my Bronica S2 there, it works beautifully & came in such beautiful condition.

Probably the most friendly and knowledgeable camera store you can work with. They have a wide selection of vintage gear and are knowledgeable on current gear too. Buying a used camera from Mark at Camera Trading Company was a great experience. Mark met me at the store by appointment (as advertised) and was genuinely happy to help me. The store's modified hours really make sense and provide a lot of flexibility for visits. All email enquiries I have made have been met promptly and courteously. Like others, I really enjoy a local 'brick and mortar' experience to view used equipment vs. the more distant and chancy eBay experience. It is clear that they stand firmly behind their products.

I had been on the look out for a good Canon A1 for a while now, and was a bit disheartened after having a bad experience with ebay. I found this place in my research and took a chance on it and I am super glad I did. I could not get over how good of a condition the camera is in. Shoots perfect and looks great. It also came with a very cool retro strap, that I love. 100% will be buying from this shop again. : )

I have dealt with the Camera Trading Company, buying and selling used equipment, (film and digital cameras) for many years. The staff is always courteous, helpful and extremely knowledgeable (and not without a sense of humour). It is always a pleasure to do business with them. They also have an ebay site which has a 100% positive feedback rating. I would recommend you drop by and get to know Ottawa's only specialized used camera store.
