The buying and delivery process was great! Now looking forward to our first power outage with the Aurora 20kw as backup. Tied it into my hybrid solar inverter which will automatically start the generator when the grid is down and my batteries are depleted to 20%. Would definitely recommend this Aurora 20kw Perkins diesel generator.

Aurora customer service is outstanding. I purchased my Aurora generator over ten years ago. It's been discontinued, however the Aurora representative was able to get me all the necessary parts shipped to the US, for a tuneup. Very happy. We did a lot of research before purchasing our generator. Diesel engine based generators are far superior to propane generators. We wanted a solid backup solution for our off-grid home. We bought a bare bones 13Kw generator and outfitted it with its own building to minimize noise, make servicing easier and to protect it from the environment. Aurora was always quick to respond to technical questions and continues to service us with appropriately priced maintenance parts. They take the time to listen and work with you to ensure you are happy with their products and service. Can highly recommend this company.

Great company to deal with. Knowledgeable and excellent after-sales assistance. I purchased the Dynagen TG410 control unit for the existing diesel generator that came with the house I purchased. Very please with the unit and once you get used to navigating the 'menus' it's straight forward (with some help from the manual & Ron @ Aurora lol). The controller has a TON of features... many of which the average home owner will never use or need. It's simple to operate and view without the plethora of guages and buttons that some others offer.
Also nice to support local (located in Newmarket, Ontario) and beneficial should any follow-up parts been needed vs. coming from China.

My generator is flawless so far,its was installed about year or so now and we had our first short outage and it was like clock work bringing our power back on in seconds !!!

Very happy with our 13kw Aurora Generator. This Generator with the Perkins engine is very quiet and powerful even under a heavy load and runs everything in a large 4 bedroom home. I recommend to size your generator based on your energy usage and requirements and not your house size. Most of the time with 50% lights on, a few TV's, cable boxes, refrigerator, upright freezer, etc. it is only using using about 1.5 kw. It can run my 5 ton central ac and electric dryer at the same time with over 40% of the usable generator load still available for other household items. Using a couple of heavy appliances at the same time is no problem along with everything else its about a 55% load load or about 6,800 kw. However there is really no need to run all those items at the same time, but it is good to know that if its necessary the generator can do so, plus significantly more. Every house load would be slightly different of course, equip age, condition and energy efficiency of appliances would have to be factored in but you'll enjoy the fuel saving with a generator like a 13 kw that is sized right and makes sense for almost every house. The generators are very well built, strong and very powerful. Most of the time you'll be below 50% load and the average households use only 5 kw-6 kw on average except when using an electric water heater, electric heat or electric dryer. Aurora Generator puts a lot of quality in their builds and assembly process and customer service before and after the sale is A-Plus. Aurora Generators are loaded with features and are very High Quality. Quality you can really see, touch, feel and trust. I can't stress enough, normal loads like a 5-ton central ac, lights, refrigerator and deep freezers, microwave, coffee maker and a few electric stove elements on and the gen set is at about a 55% load and it will comfortably run those. Fuel economy and savings is incredible on the 13 kw and use's slightly less than 1/2 gallon of fuel per hour below a 60% load.
