For being located in such a small town, Foodland does an excellent job of keeping prices fairly close to what they would retail for in a city. There are a few products that do seem a little marked-up, however, most of the local population know this and tend to grab those few items on a trip to the city. People are very friendly here, so plan for an extra ten minutes of "talk" time on your grocery trip.

It is costly and the selection is limited and they don't fallow the sale in the flyers.
They need to be better to keep the town shopping in the town rather then leading them to Thunderbay or Fort Frances!

Owners don't care about peoples pockets they're only about the money, place has a very high recycle rate as in everytime you walk in the're bound to be new employees. the leadership is very poor no command structure everything is everywhere

Nice friendly service. Fresh, fruit meat and veggies. It's a little expensive, but it is what keeps the grocery store running. Wide variety of almost everything you could want. Fresh baked baked goods, ready to eat, take out chester chicken. Everything you need to bake or cook under one roof.

A really great supermarket for the size of the town. They have a really great selection of the essentials and definitely a number of things that you won't expect to find. Despite being the only store in town they still have really great specials
The best thing about it though is the staff who are friendly and treat you like family. They will always help you find things and quickly open another till so that you don't need to stand in line

Overpriced, low quality, and food is usually not far from expiring (if not already sometimes). You really have to watch what you buy because they leave dairy and other such volatile products on the shelf until the best before date, and when you get it home you're lucky if it lasts a few days before going sour. Bought a couple steaks, froze them immediately and when it was time to take them out they were very off smelling. Threw them in the garbage. Only buy stuff there when you have to, so save your money and make a monthly tbay trip for high quality, fresh, and reasonably priced food. If something is on sale, check the dates !! And for the love of God, grab from the back!
