Absolutely love visiting Archibald's Winery in Bowmanville just north of Taunton Rd on Liberty St! The owners Fred & Sandy are always so nice and a wealth of information when you visit, providing tons of good info about the products they make and serve. I visited Archibald's with Rotary Club of Bowmanville last eve for a tour of the apple
orchard, Fred giving us some history on the orchard & his business over the years, plus we learned alot about apples and honeybees! Wine taste testing with my group and how to pair their wines with certain foods, showing us the best way to taste wine and food together for a pallatable experience! Thanks Fred and Sandy for an awesome tour and wine tasting experience. 'Time Place Food and Mood ' !! makes all the difference 🙂

Beautiful winery with a great apple picking experience!
We visited for apple picking and had a wonderful time with family. There’s no admission fee, and it’s $45 per bag per car — totally worth it for the fresh, delicious apples. Everything was well-organized, and the orchard was easy to navigate. We also enjoyed tasting the wines — the staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, a perfect spot for a fun and relaxing day. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for the best apple picking experience!

I recently visited Archibald Orchard & Winery to spend some valuable time with family and friends. The variety of apples available was impressive, with each one offering its unique taste. The $45 charged for a bag was worth it, considering the delightful flavors and the enjoyable experience.

I wasn't disappointed as a first time PYO 🍏🍎 to this location. It is our family tradition to spend the Thanksgiving morning. There are still good apples to pick in the late season.

WOW! fun place! like all the apples like honey crisp, empire, and i forgot the rest. i also liked the playground area as i filmed a vid and put it on youtube. my channel name is benjamin and nicholas. the channel picture looks like 2 babys instead im a kid. pls dont laugh 🙁
