Installing this product 2 years ago, Ultra Ceramic, Fine Stone RFS-12, Warm White, was by far the worst decision I have ever made. Had a complete kitchen renovation with cabinets, counter tops and flooring installed. The flooring was almost 1/3 of the total bill, over $15,000 on the flooring alone. I was very apprehensive of spending more for something that looked like actual tile but was told that the wear factor was better and the "new" grout far exceeded that of ceramic grout. Well that is a lie!!

We have been trying to get this resolved for the last 2 years as within the first 2 months the following issues started to appear and have only worsened over the 2 years. American Biltrite has not stood behind their product at all and finally we are left with a very disappointing, frustrated situation.

The tiles scratch extremely easy, we have felt pads on our furniture and the simple act of sliding chairs in and out of position has left very noticeable scratch marks. The vinyl coating has peeled off in several location exposing the black core, not very good for a light coloured floor.

The Ultra Ceramic grout-White Grt-00-023 we were told was highly stain resistant. Not sure what highly stain resistant means in this context as it stayed "white" for approximately 2 weeks and is more of a beige then anything. Since the installation we have only used a non residue cleaner, Bona product, it is a very good product but the grout just doesn't release the dirt, and there is no way of using a grout cleaner, like you can with ceramic tile sanded grout, so you just have to live with the stained grout. We have had some success with cleaning the grout by hand with a scrub brush but that is a back breaking 5 hour ordeal. Not only does the grout stain, it CRACKS. EVERY joint has cracked so not only do we have beige grout we have it highlighted with black lines.

American Biltrite is very aware of this installation (done by a professional that has installed 100's of floors) and has said these issues are not their issues. The grout cracking was reviewed and there was a repair made and within 1 week the cracks reappeared and American Biltrite response was one warranty claim per installation, THE FIRST REPAIR DIDN"T RESOLVE THE ISSUE!!!

I would highly recommend anyone considering installing Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) made by American Biltrite to reconsider. The product is not as advertised and the warranty or customer service leaves much to be desired. The question I ask my self everyday that I walk into my kitchen is, "why did I pay more for something that looks like something else (ceramic tile) and doesn't hold up anywhere close to that something else (ceramic tile)?"
